My Infiniti Q50 doesnt seem to have an aftermarket legal exhaust or muffler kit in singapore. or at least no workshop seems to have it. Ive enquire overseas and there are at least 3 manufacturers that make them but all seems to don't have a reseller here. one of the japanese manufacturer even have Jasma certification but i asked a famous exhuast workshop if they willing to get approval , but they rejected. is there any other way to get after market exhaust /muffler system approved? seems like a very grey area by LTA.... not very encouraging for people to want to comply with the law. need advice from experienced brothers here.... any workshop interested to carry a japanese brand of exhaust that works with lexus, bmw, lambo, merc and infiniti?

My Sunny coming 10 years in next 2 weeks. Had LTA inspection and passed with advice that I change the rusty muffler as the sound will get louder over time. Now that I have renewed my COE, I would like to change the muffler. Any one got advice and the price for the change? Many thanks. I can live with the sound as it does not affect my fuel consumption or any function. But I have 10 years to go from 1 Jul and best I change now. I am prepared to change in JB.

hi bro, anyone knows where in JB can get cheap mufflers? not full exhaust, not extractor... just the end muffler... i saw in Cheras.. KL... got many branded replicas... quite cheap considering in Ringgit... thanks...

hey guys, tot of juz changing the muffler to get the bassy growl...not too loud.....but from the posts, read that low end will probably be lost......i like to know...how bad is it??? if only slight loss in power, then can seriously consider......

Went inspection this afternoon at Vicom Sin Ming, KNS forgotten about the rusty muffler that had already been there for about 3-4years (previous inspection pass). This time round kena jialat straight undercarriage fail. Kan cheong until forgot to take picture just now. My ride is 1.1A Kia Picanto. Any bros here know stockists that have ready stock for LTA approved Kia/OEM mufflersand any budget workshop that can weld and change? I went to a shop at King George Avenue, quoted $180 for OEM. But need urgently coz Roadtax expire tmr...

hi bros here, would like to check. im driving a toyota vios, when my car was raised up on the lifter. i can see the following setup below clearly Extractor --- cataylic convertor --- center muffler --- piping all the way to rear muffler my question is, wat does the center muffler do. does it serve any purpose like back pressure, lowering exhaust volume or juz purely for silencing the pipe?

I'm caught in this situation of deciding whether to change my stock muffler to an aftermarket semi-flow. I drive usually in the low-end(believing its 2000 - 3200 rpm, or am i wrong?), changed to a 4-2-1(thermal wrapped) and hi-flow cat(original cat comes together w/ headers, no choice). I would like to seek you guys' advices in helping me choose if I should go semi-flow over the stock muffler. I ain't liking loudness so advise me if semi-flows are loud-hailers.

Hi guys, I'm driving a latio and contemplating whether to operate my muffler to semi-flow or changing to a universal "sports" muffler. The downside of operating is that it is a one-way ticket and is very hard to find 2nd hand stock muffler except Tan Cheong when I want to swap back. Another way is to change to a universal muffler whereby I can revert back to stock any day. One question I need to ask is universal muffler normally needs welding and I'm not sure whether I can pass inspection by the 3rd yr even if I change back to stock cause of the welding marks. Any bro with experience can kindly advice? I know it is illegal and carry a fine :) -

i remember few years ago there were tis operation done on e rear muffler,where they open it up n do "something" to it.there after they weld it back ago n put it back.it claimed to ve a better flow at e convenient of using back e stock muffler.Is tis "operation" still in practice?Any comment on tis modification

If I am driving a Sienta, do I still need to register this TRD muffler (for sienta in Toyota website)with LTA? http://toyota.jp/sienta/dop/package/index.html It would be easier if I had it installed before they shipped it here but it would be taxed 2.3x the original price (61,950 yen or SGD805) Thanks.

This is from a pretty well-known shop. Think it's pretty expensive. Anywhere else to install HKS Hi-power silent - good workmanship and reasonable pricing ? Thanks If I install this, do i lose/gain anything in terms of FC/power ? Thanks

Has Anyone ever bought or know of a shop selling a custom made Exhaust Muffler Tip. This may sound funny, actually my wife saw a "love shaped" muffler tip on tv the other day and she's asking me to get it and installed it on the car before i do any other modifications. ehehe so any help...?
