  4. Hey guys most would know i recentley bought a lexus gs450h (2010 model) After changing the hybrid battery, most were good, till we heard some stuttering on the front door speakers at higher bass parts of the sound track. From what ive read online, ive read that this is a very very common problem for all lexus cars from that time period and it is possible to just repair the foam itself on the speakers without needing to replace the pair of speakers. Any opinions and experiences will help, as i rather repair than change to a lousier speaker in my car.. Thanks as always

  7. Do u guys think its a good idea to buy a 06-08 mark X? After hearing my fren bad experience with his 2nd hand 5 series, im kinda afraid of buying cars tats older than 6 years old. But i heard mark x dun have much issues, maybe standard wear and tear items. Is servicing and replacement of wear and tear higher than normal cars? Im driving a SSS at the moment and everything is pretty cheap. I also heard that mark x is very accident prone, as the car tend to fishtail due to rwd. I always drive my dad's merc around ( also rwd ) and i think the car is still pretty safe to corner etc, however i read around the forums and people are saying that mark x handling is very bad. anyone with experience driving 1 can enlighten me? What is fc like? im guessing 10-11km/hr? I does about 80% highway every day. Last questions, just asking purely for fun, how come never heard of people lup a bolt on turbo onto a mark X? i can imagine the power it could generate...
  8. Folks, recently my car had a loud screeching sound at the engine compartment. Looking into the engine bay I realize that the sound will be heard when the compressor kicks in. I went to Mark Cool to get an opinion. A mechanic attended to me and said that my compressor rotating disc is loose and caused the sound. As Mark Cool is a recommended workshop , I agree with him to change to a recon compressor costing $350. However, the sound did not go away. Upon asking the mechanic, he said it is due to a faulty camshaft pulley. My gripe is this. He now know that the actual problem is the camshaft pulley and not the compressor. Should not he refund me the repair cost as I am being charged for repairs that do not solve the problem. Please advice.
  9. Hi, Is there groomer to recommend? To remove swirl mark only with no wax and sealant because I want to use glass coat.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyLpmLBgOow Video shows American ambassador in South Korea after being wounded with a blade The US ambassador to South Korea, Mark Lippert, was slashed on his face and arm by a blade-wielding assailant shouting anti-war slogans in an attack in Seoul Thursday, police and television reports said. The United States strongly condemned the "act of violence" which left the ambassador bleeding profusely as he was taken to hospital, and said that President Barack Obama had spoken with him." The President called (Lippert) to tell him that he and his wife Robyn are in his thoughts and prayers, and to wish him the very best for a speedy recovery," said Bernadette Meehan, National Security Council spokeswoman. Witnesses said a man with a blade concealed in his right hand attacked Lippert as he was attending a breakfast function at the Sejong Cultural Institute in central Seoul. Video footage in the immediate aftermath of the attack showed the ambassador being rushed out of the building holding one hand to his bleeding right cheek, and his other hand smeared with blood with an apparent wound to the wrist. Lippert, 42, was bundled into a police car and rushed to hospital, where a US embassy spokesman said he was in a "stable" condition. http://news.yahoo.com/us-ambassador-attacked-seoul-231729097.html
  11. A cigarette butt landed on my roof top (likely thrown by someone on the second or third floor) and it left a yellowish burnt mark about a 10 cent coin in size. Would someone be kind enough to let me know how to remove this burnt mark?
  12. http://news.asiaone.com/news/showbiz...mson-apartment StompTuesday, Sep 10, 2013SINGAPORE - Local comedian Mark Lee has splashed the cash, forking out $2.2 million for a five-room apartment that he believes is great value for money. Speaking to Lianhe Wanbao on the set of his new production helmed by Taiwanese comedian-compere Kang Kang, he let on why he felt he got bang for his buck. The apartment, he explained, measures 2,680 square feet (248 square metres), has five rooms and was freehold, which translates to a valuable acquisition considering the current market conditions. These all translated to space, comfort and convenience since it could house his family of five, his mother and sister together at one location. However, he's not giving up his current home in Ang Mo Kio despite the purchase of this property because it was the 'birthplace' of his three kids and that he will most probably rent it out.

  18. Hi, would like to enquire about the gear (steptronic) in Mark X. It goes like this: While the car is stationary, and you shift it to D mode, and then you change to M mode, the gear engaged shown will be at 4. Is this correct, normal? No matter what I did, be it I shift down to gear 1 in M mode, and switch back to D mode, and then switch back to M mode again, it will always be in gear 4. how come it is not in gear 1, assuming that you are stationary and suppose to move off in gear 1 instead of 4. Mark X bro, kindly advise. Oh, I was intending to get the Mark X and happen to realize this while testing the car. Well, the dealer was not able to confirm though.
  19. His name is almost as popular as Bill Gates’ and his bank account is also juggling billions of dollars (not as many though), so naturally everyone wants to know what type of car Mark Zuckerberg drives. While we were expecting something closer to a Ferrari, a Porsche, or a Veyron, it appears the Facebook CEO went for an Infiniti. Moreover, the youngest billionaire in the world has recently been spotted being toted around in his girlfriend’s Acura TSX, which is a car that competes against vehicles like the Lexus IS, Audi A4 and BMW 3-Series. The car is an entry-level luxury vehicle worth about $30,000. The sports sedan is not short on luxury features such as leather interior, power moonroof, automatic climate control, a seven-speaker sound system, Satellite Radio, Bluetooth and HandsFreeLink. Could it be the car has any Facebook features for Zuckerberg to enjoy? The 26-year-old businessman has managed to gather a fortune of no less than $6.9 billion (according to the recent Top 50 Forbes, where he also came ahead of Apple CEO’s Steve Jobs). However, he is still far behind Microsoft founder’s Bill Gates, whose fortune is reportedly of up to $54 billion. Anyway, just so that we spice up the news a bit, it seems that when spotted in Palo Alto with his girlfriend, Zuckerberg was wearing the exact same shirt that he has sported a day before with a friend. Could driving $30k cars and not spending money on clothes be the secret to becoming a billionaire? We guess not. But what we do know is that on his personal Facebook profile page, he lists his personal interests as “openness, making things that help people connect and share what’s important to them, revolutions, information flow, and minimalism.” This should get you start thinking like a rich man... http://www.autoevolution.com/news/facebook...-tsx-25276.html

  21. October 24 1990 Honda Accordreaches million mile mark BY KELLEY BOUCHARD SACO -- Joe LoCicero's 1990 Honda Accord slipped into a parking spot in front of City Hall with its engine purring, much as it did two decades ago after it rolled off the assembly line in Marysville, Ohio. LoCicero, a resident of the town of Norway, was honored with a surprise parade and given a 2012 Accord on Sunday afternoon after racking up more than 1 million miles on his trusted older model, nicknamed "True Blue" for its light-blue exterior. LoCicero, 53, is the first person documented by the car manufacturer to have driven a Honda to the million-mile mark, according to a company spokeswoman. "If you listen carefully, she's getting old," LoCicero said, "but it's been an amazing ride." Known as "Million Mile Joe" through a recent advertising and Web campaign, LoCicero is a master auto technician who travels throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont inspecting vehicles for warranty claims and lease terms. Honda and Darling Auto Group sponsored the parade down Main Street, which featured marching bands from Westbrook High School and Saco Middle School and varsity cheerleaders from Biddeford High School. "Joe is a testament to what you can do if you maintain your car," said Ron Russell, Darling's director of operations in Bangor. "Thankfully, not many people do it, or we'd be out of business." Russell learned of LoCicero's impending milestone in August 2010, when the car had clocked 938,000 miles. He informed Honda's advertising agency, which set up a website, millionmilejoe.com, where he has chronicled his story. The agency chose downtown Saco to hold and record Sunday's celebration because of its classic New England appearance. Local teens made the floats and costumes featured in the parade, including an oversized odometer and pine tree air freshener. A plane flew above, trailing a banner that said, "Way To Go Joe!" Miss Maine USA Julia Furtado helped to deliver the cobalt blue 2012 Accord. "I like it," LoCicero said, grinning as he sat in the new car. LoCicero bought the older Honda in 1996, when it had 74,000 miles on it. He kept it running with diligent maintenance, keeping track of every fill-up, tire rotation and oil change in a couple dozen notebooks. "Every car needs maintenance," LoCicero said, recommending that drivers follow maintenance schedules, use quality parts and drive safely. He does much of the work himself, having been an auto mechanic for 18 years before becoming a vehicle inspector. "He'll be out there, underneath the car, on a blanket in the middle of winter," said Sharon LoCicero, his wife of 32 years. They have two children and two grandchildren. Through the years, the car's seat belts, steering wheel and upholstery have worn out and been replaced. The fuel pump blew at 741,000 miles, drawing laughter from his children when it had to be towed. "They thought it was the funniest thing that it finally broke down," Joe LoCicero said. He swears that the engine and transmission are original. "I took the engine apart once to clean it for a carbon issue and put it back together," he said. LoCicero's Accord has traveled about 48,000 miles per year. The average car travels 10,000 to 15,000 miles per year, said Russell, of Darling Auto Group. At that rate, it would take at least 66 years to reach LoCicero's 1 million mark, which equals about 40 times around the Earth. LoCicero said he's not sure what he'll do with the 1990 Accord now that he has a new model, also made in Ohio. He's tried to sell the older model to a few car dealers recently for $1 million, hoping they'd want to display it to advertise the longevity of Honda vehicles. "A buck a mile. That's fair," LoCicero said. "I didn't get any bites." The electronic odometer in the old Accord turned over 1 million miles on Thursday. Now, it says LoCicero has driven it 75 miles. "I'm starting all over," he said.

  23. Just 20 minutes ago I was checking my car's tire pressure at my local Esso, and I spotted the ugliest Sillyporean I have seen so far. He drove into the kiosk, parked at one of the pumps and horned once, expecting the pump attendant to attend to him immediately like a VIP. The station was about 75% full of cars with only 2 pump attendants. So as you would expect, response wouldn't be as swift as that idiot would have liked. So he got down from the car started shouting, which I will post here in the exact words he shouted, "Hello! 可以来帮我吗!" in a demanding tone that any one person would dislike straight away. That's what caught my attention. A pump attendant soon attended to him. Mind you, these two attendants are elderly uncles who are old enough to be that fella's father. The attendant reprimanded him, "讲话可以讲好好吗?
