Kytl68 Neutral Newbie June 29, 2004 Share June 29, 2004 Anyone own the new Trajet ... with the CVVT engine ? Can share information please How is the fuel consumption (FC) for the 2.0L model ? I also understand the car has power or torque problem. Three MPV went up Genting namely Picnic, Odyssey and Trajet .... the trajet driver made a lot of noise when they reach the top as his car was struggling all the way ... is the new trajet the same or improved ? ↡ Advertisement

Multi 3rd Gear June 29, 2004 Share June 29, 2004 (edited) There will be a trip up Genting this coming August @ Clubhyundai. At least 5 Trajets will be going, let's see if it can make it smoothly up there... http://clubhyundai.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5060 Edited June 29, 2004 by Multi
Kytl68 Neutral Newbie June 30, 2004 Author Share June 30, 2004 Will be keen to know the results ...... at least it will help me make a decision on the MPV to change to ... now it's close between Trajet and Picnic ..... waiting for your news I would presonally prefer the trajet as it is more spacious and can hold 8 confortably .... but my concern also the power and FC which is claimed to be about 7-8km/l only. Multi 3rd Gear June 30, 2004 Share June 30, 2004 I'm driving the 2003 model and so far so good. FC is about 9-9.5km/L. The trip is in August, can you wait that long? If you really prefer the new Trajet then go for it cos I heard from my kaki of the new Trajet that the CVVT engine indeed have better FC and pick up also improve alot. Why don't you book now and join us for the Genting trip...
Kytl68 Neutral Newbie June 30, 2004 Author Share June 30, 2004 I am in no hurry to change my car yet .... just an option cos I like the Trajet. Your FC is very good, is it a 2.0L trajet ? Do you have any aftermarket addition like filter, plugs, gadgets, etc. Most likely I will be making a trip with the family sometime in July or August .. maybe I will chance upon your "big group" ... enjoy and good luck at the casino. Multi 3rd Gear June 30, 2004 Share June 30, 2004 Yes, mine is a 2.0 version with Twin Airbags. I have infact did some upgrades to it namely: K&N Drop in filter, C.A.I, Iridium Plugs and HVS, that's all. After all this upgrade, I can feel that it is not like what others said about Trajet. I am enjoying every moment of it. So far have been to JB and Desaru, maybe to Malacca this July and confirm to Genting this August.... Ya, hope to see you there too, BTW what's your ride? Cashiertan Neutral Newbie June 30, 2004 Share June 30, 2004 Sorry but I beg to differ. Ask a person who drive Honda stream, picnic or grandis. They will condem trajet... Dun believe, try loh...
Multi 3rd Gear June 30, 2004 Share June 30, 2004 Same thing happen also, ask drivers of Hyundai and they will also do the same...
Redz Clutched June 30, 2004 Share June 30, 2004 i'm driving stream myself. ever test drive trajet and like the spaciousness and comfort. didnt buy coz it's big cc, means higher road tax, insurance and FC. opted for stream instead. if i have a money source that never runs dry, i would like to own trajet! Cashiertan Neutral Newbie June 30, 2004 Share June 30, 2004 (edited) nah you wont bother with trajet if you had more money. all i can think of a trajet is that it is cheap and spacious. Hyundai car are relatively cheaper however with chevrolet and kia coming in with their as cheap but better cars, Hyundai days ahead arent going to be easy ride. Only the fact that chevrolet and kia brand is not that state yet with hyundai, which exist longer in SG than the formers. Try asking a tuscani driver comparing his modded car and a stock integra IS after he tested it. you can really see the result from his eyes even if he is a good actor. Trust me.
