Reverse/Parking Sensors paintable?

Are Reverse/Parking Sensors paintable?

 

I've seen them being sold in different colours, but I've also seen some on cars which are colour coded with the car in colours obviously not sold OEM.

 

So I guess that they've been sprayed over. Am I correct?

 

If they've been resprayed over, can still work properly?

my precious car rear bumper got "kiss" by somebody & furthermore the reverse sensor color is not exactly as the car body color, after the accident the workshop had the reverse sensor spray to the car body color, it still working good.

Reverse org is black in color...no problem to have a layer of print over it...it still works...
