but what i am targetting is more the comments that gahmen will release more scholars into the private sectors to promote entrepreneurship.

 

my foot....they can never replicate that from the public sector scholars once their roots are entrenched there.

yep, totally agree with you! If the scholars have the entrepreneurial spirit, would they have taken the scholarships in the first place?

all of us can be scholars.. it's how well we manage that grey matter up there, and how to use it for the benefit of all.

 

unfortunately not all scholars are streetsmart.

i find it senile for such broad base assumptions:-

 

good grades = talents = scholars = gods

 

by "gods" i am clearly peeved that they think just because a person is talented (again just assumed because they got good grades), he is able to be a good leader, entrepreneur, minister, CEO etc.

 

even if a person is talented, talents are not multi-faceted or covers multi disciplines...better for them to stop assuming a scholar that is doing well in govt sector can lead well in private sector.

Another nice example is Sheng Shiong's boss. Pure hardwork and persistence. NTUC Fairprice fears him very much. Where ever his shop opens and the NTUC Fairprice near his location will have less takings.

yep.....notice that these pple also conveniently ignored the disadvantage we pple are operating in?

 

they tok about their scholars.....their scholars come from rich families, strong financial backing etc....even if they succeed in life, there's nothing to crow about.

 

look at the sheng siong boss....look at us, most of us have humble background......we do not lose out much to their scholars except the headstart that their parents have given them.

 

compete on level playing ground and they might not be better than us.
