Wow! You managed to get the temp to be around 30 degrees? Is there a need to measure outside air? We know the temp in singapore is pretty much around 30 degrees right?

It's the difference in external and intake temperature that counts and temp varies, even in SG! 24 in some mornings and 35 on some hot afternoon....

Mike,

Bought the temp sensor at SLS last Friday. Tried to get the wire from the engine bay into the cabin but no avail. [shakehead]

Can't seem to find any hole that lead into the cabin. The one that the power cable from the amp used goes into the central console. That will require me to remove either the HU or aircon to get the end.

Can help?? [dizzy]

Check your boom chit chit power cable from the battery and see where it leads to. Usually the entrance is at the passenger's side of the firewall. The inside can be reached by removing the glove compartment. Hope that helps.

Don't bother tracing the power cable from the amp.

Remove aircon? Zoom didn't remove your aircon when they do up your system right? [sly][laugh][laugh]

Yup, I traced the power cable for the amp (from the battery). For my case, the entrance of this power cable is at the centre console (not at the passenger side). Thus removing the glove compartment does not help.

In order to retrieve the cable, will need to remove something from the centre console (either the HU or the aircon control).

Spent almost 1+ hours trying to poke the cable thru the firewall last Sat.... [sweatdrop]

Maybe can let you take a look..... [nod]

BTW, if you find that the wires are too short, you can actually try going to Sim Lim tower instead. Go to the basement shops, they actually have much more variety of temp sensors... with super long wires...

Sorry, should have posted this finding sooner... [blush]

Yup, the wire is too short. But I do have extra cables to lengthen it. [nod]

Thanks for the info. [thumbsup]

The problem I am facing is getting the wire thru the firewall into the carbin. [thumbsdown] Poke here, poke there also cannot get thru.

how about driver's side? Any other openings? usually there's another hole behind the dashboard area, which you can crawl under the dash to access..

Sure, let me know when you're free between 3pm to 6pm! [thumbsup] Before that, maybe you can give Geoff a call to check how he pull the wire through. The glove compartment is just next to the centre console. There may still be a chance to reach the firewall hole from there.
