Audiorook Neutral Newbie July 22, 2004 Share July 22, 2004 (edited) Thought you want to use since you saw some lying around. Oil with different name very tempting..... No lah..... this thread was started by Diamond2006.... not me... Not too keen to try other oils yet... Currently on RP, and will use one more cycle of RP to see the trend on the UOA on my Ipsum first, before moving to others (maybe Castrol SLX A3, but not Elf Moly....) Genie47 1st Gear July 22, 2004 Share July 22, 2004 You mean Castrol SLX-A3. The only A3-02 oil from Caltex is Havoline Fully Synthetic. Havoline Energy is rated A1-02 and only available in 5W30.

Fury Neutral Newbie July 24, 2004 Share July 24, 2004 I've tried the 10W30 and found dat the engine sound is quiet. I treat them as mineral oil as my milage is high and i used to drive hard. The colour of it is also very dark. No harm trying them cos its my 3rd cycle and found it perfectly fine! Juz curious, when will u be double-diamond? Seeyk Neutral Newbie July 27, 2004 Share July 27, 2004 I am using Elf Competition ST 10W40, for about 1200km.. FC and perf seems okie and it costs about RM73 per 4L. It is semi-syn. There is also a fully syn version called Excellium and Evolution, anyone got use these before? Did a web search for elf lubricants and found that their pdts worth considering (ie. value for money), provided we can get them locally
