here' d link for trade secret wax http://www.topoftheline.com/toltradcarwa.html

I got it from another vendor coz Topoftheline doesn't ship outside North America,

and I just check they stop carrying it [:(]

As for durability, I don't know coz I couldn't stop topping it when I was using it[sweatdrop] .It was very easy to put on, buff off and WOW amazing look, I'm glad I get to try this wax . As for now, I've just started using my zaino again...waiting for a few coats and then intending to put on one of the wax that I have [sunny]

Thanks for the info. Have you used S100 or P21S before?

Just curious to know how it compares as I am on S100.

For Zaino, I don't think you can top it up with wax.shakehead.gif

OIC. Most people on Zaino just add more layers over it.

Adding Carnuaba wax over Zaino seems quite strange bcos

most people who is on Zaino like it because it is not wax based.nod.gif

once they are satisfied with the number of coats, they put on wax to enhance the look only attainable by carnauba wax, I guess it's durability + beauty treatment (wax) [:p]

Its such a waste of time and money to layer Zaino and then

add wax on topbigcry.gif. What's the advantage?shocked.gifconfused.gif

It is easier and cheaper to just clean the surface of

imperfections and then wax it? nod.gif

I stay in Bukit Batok and I have seen owners taking drain water (suppose to be from the hills and filtered) to wash their car !! 20cents also want to save....

I check the water...its clear...but drain water leh....I rather pay 20cents even if my car is damn old !!

Zaino is classify as Synthetic Wax. Synthetics are often made from polymers (e.g.Zaino) or arcyrlics (e.g. Klasse). The benefits of such a wax is that it can last long, it can withstand greater abuse. Its downside is the fact that it tends to give more of a reflective shine (mirror like).

Carnuaba wax gives deep, rich gloss. A downside to carnuaba is that in dry or very hot climates, it will last 4 weeks or at most 6 weeks in less severe climates.

I put both on. I first apply the synthetic for the long lasting protection. Then I add the carnuaba to give the rich, deep gloss I prefer.

The carnuaba wax is on top of the Zaino, right?

Since carnuaba wax lasts 4-6 weeks, you still need to re-wax

the carnuaba wax again after this time regardless whether there is

a tough layer of Zaino below or not. If not, than the deep gloss shine

is gone.nod.gif

Since Zaino application is very tedious, why not just do a proper cleaning

and then do a carnuaba wax on top and then wax every 4 weeks there after will do.thumbsup.gif

Proper paint preparation before waxing is critical. You can definitely skip the Zaino or Klasse portion if you want. i.e. just proper cleaning and do the carnuaba wax. In this way, you are layering the wax directly on top of the clear coat which come with the car. (assume that nothing is done before)

There is no right or wrong, basically by having Synthetic wax is for protection on top of the clear coat as synthetic wax can withstand greater abuse and longer lasting. Rather than just wax on the clear coat which probably will disappear after 3-4 weeks.
