6 months old car and since got time might as well

take care of the baby and get some excercise at the

same time.

 

I injured my wrist and no more bowling, so this is the only

excuse to get a good work out.

Mine can never shine coz its silver. I did try polishing it but I just don't see the difference in comparison. Anyway the car gets filty every week so I can't be bothered polishing it ...

think gotto investigate or ask those previous frequent washer. looks like with the new flats... source of water is gone. maybe all the luck went to the nearby temple down the street. saw many cars parked along both side of the road.

actually more exp but i have calculated about 20 applications with that one tin. That is not bad esp for 40% carnuaba content.

Hi there, here is the update of Swissol- have been using it for over 3 months:

 

In terms of cost, it is relatively higher. But I figured that since the tin will last about 20 apps or over, it wont cost too much in the long run. The 2 other essential components are the quick finish and the cleaner fluid (to remove stains, bird crap, dirt and even lines!) Nice to haves include the Wheels.

 

Benefits:

Deep shine

Lasts about 4-6 weeks : still beading water after 5 weeks

Covers the lines very well

Easy to apply (minimum is enough)

 

Drawbacks:

Gets hazy under intense heat (note: don apply in the sun or hot surface and just buff it off)

cost

Less reflective than Zaino (but hey my end in mind is to cover any lines under the white light both in short and mid term)

 

Swissol was actually Zymol, ie. same holding company before it sold it to Turtle wax. They felt the need to upkeep the premium quality by launching their Swissol brand. The scents of the older Zymol and Swissol are similar.

 

On Autoglym - applied that on my sis' Mivec lancer this morning (used Mama Lemon, claybar, followed by 3M swirl mark remover,autglym resin polish and then high gloss protection. comment - the High Gloss Protection is a must. You will see the difference.

 

Notes on Swissol- each model is different not just in terms of the carnuaba content. Ask for advice based on your car and car's paintwork to get the right one.

quick finish: like a quick detailer; after a wash, it helps you to wipe away light marks. eg finger prints etc without re-applying wax. Pretty good.

yes try it cos it is an in-between wash and wax- that means you can still maintiain the shine.. BTW what colour is your ride? Is the bonnet very hot- so far any signs of weakness of your wax yet? The reason for asking is that my paint is a bit soft and sensitive and it worked better with concorso..

How's the ease of use for concorso?

Does it take long for you to wax and buff off?

Normally how long do you need to wash and wax your car?

easy to use

Buffing - as long as the paint surface is not hot - easier to take it off. Possible need to wipe over later one more time.

Time taken- with cleaner fluid about less than 2 hrs for 2 stages (cleaner, buff followed by wax and then buff. Can complete and wax within 1 hour. Wash and dry takes abt hour hour incl wheels.

Just came back from the Mobil kiosk. And under the white light, the wax still manages to cover the lines compared to my previous brands (not all perfect but 90% lines covered).

wat colour and model is ur ride and where did you get your stuff from. SG or UK?

can tell if the wax is suitable for ur paintwork.

Yes smells nice.. really lingers in the room if you have ur stuff stored in your room.
