En0203 2nd Gear August 9, 2004 Share August 9, 2004 my father's proton and my sunny also have this button. never tried before on my car. but i know for my father's proton it's used to reset the alarm. take for example, when ur remote control batt is low, u open the car with only car key then the alarm will be triggered. on my father's old proton, we can insert the key and turn on the electric supply to the car, then press this little red button to stop the alarm. note: the key here is u must turn on the car electric supply 1st before u press this button in order to reset it. u can't reset it without the key i have yet to try on my car coz it can be quite noisy to trigger the alarm ler Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
