Mycar008 Neutral Newbie October 26, 2006 Share October 26, 2006 Hi there... oooh it's free?? I'm about to book honda 1.8VTI-S for 74,600/= Discount + Cash Rebate = $3280 (Must take $40,000 loan 3.5% for 7 yrs - lock in 3 years though). The SE Says, because of the 3K rebate, therefore no solar film...am i conned/?
Klein Neutral Newbie October 26, 2006 Share October 26, 2006 Anyway no worries even if you are conned. Do try out other solar films in the market now. I am not working for any solar coy, but I can say that for the price of rike cool, I can safely say that you can get the same or even better films outside at a lower price. As my working area have a common open air carpark, I and my friends just did some small test on the different films. However please note that the different can be because of the different VLT and grade of the films. Toyota Wish 1.8(Not sure what brand, free from PI) - Can feel the heat and slight burning feeling on the arm. Honda Civic 1.8(Rike Cool) - Feels okay but still can feel the sun burning on my arm. Wish 1.8(V-kool) - Feels very good, no sun burning feeling but the v-kool do not have very dark tint, so those looking for the "chio" factor might not like it. Anyway I was sitting at the driver side. As most of you would know most of the MPVs from japan have very dark rear windows already. Honda Civic EG(unknown brand from Malaysia) - Feels abit like v-kool. However his windows film is very very very dark. The tint that he use is close to mafia black :) At night if there are no light source in the car, you will not be even able to see the driver:) Wish 1.8(HO film) - Do not feel the burning feeling, but it just feel warm. However the tint colour is abit more to the brownish tone. IMO. These are the only cars I tested in a short span of time and all these feedback are just what I feel. Please note that I am not an expert or have tools to do various tests so please do not fame me. Anyway for my past cars I had tried various films. V-kool, HO, T Guard and a USA made film. For now I am using the USA film which I had just got it installed and I feel that the heat rejection feels the same or even better than v-kool.
