Hitman Neutral Newbie October 14, 2004 Share October 14, 2004 (edited) Michael Schumacher says the best thing about his Japanese Grand Prix was not that he won the race, instead it was that his brother Ralf joined him on the podium. The two Schumacher brothers claimed P1 and P2 on the Suzuka grid on Sunday morning and later in the day followed it up with the 1-2 in the race. What made Ralf's performance even more impressive was that the Japanese GP was only his second race since returning to the ****pit of his FW26 after a 12-week layoff. Asked what he most enjoyed about his win in Japan, Michael, the elder of the two brothers, answered: "Easy: the fact that Ralf was on the podium with me." "We asked ourselves when it was that it had last happened as we are not ones for remembering statistics. The only thing that came to mind was the Canada race. Naturally, it is not influential; the important thing is the Ralf is back with us" He added: "He proved to all of us that he has always to be taken into consideration." =============================================== The only thing it proves is that Ralfie needs Big Brother to aid his cause .. simply because he is hopeless [/left] 2 podiums in one season ... when his teammate Montoya scores 2 times more points for the team Coming from Big Brother .... and knowing Ralfie will be moving to Toyota next year ... dun expect much from Ralfie, he is there to make up the numbers and because his surname is Schumacher Just look at his pathetic statistics ... one cannot imagine he is driving a Williams and not a Toyota already in 2004. http://www.planet-f1.com/...ship_table.phtml/pf1 Edited October 14, 2004 by Hitman ↡ Advertisement
Seansene 1st Gear October 14, 2004 Share October 14, 2004 One second place and they make a big hoo-ha. JPM has been a lot more consistent this year, scoring points in more GPs (even taking into account Ralfie's 6 missed races due to injury), and securing one second and one third place. 48 pts to Ralf's 20. No fight who's done a better job...
Hitman Neutral Newbie October 14, 2004 Author Share October 14, 2004 (edited) Thats why ... but not THEY make a big hoo-haa .... his BIG BROTHER makes a big hoo-haa JPM's lacklustre performance for the past couple of GPs is because he is now no longer given preferential treatment by the team. McLaren's technology gap to Williams is too close ... so in the interest of Williams ... Monty will no longer receive the kind of support he use to nor will he have access to the technological gadgets that come Williams' way now Thats why he has been complaining recently since Shanghai. Toyota on the other hand is way behind so Williams dont mind offering more new race equipment support to Ralfie. Seansene 1st Gear October 14, 2004 Share October 14, 2004 Ralfie can be quite a whiner (weiner?) too
Hitman Neutral Newbie October 14, 2004 Author Share October 14, 2004 Not only that .... he gives up very easily too , especially when he is way back. Now I wonder how he is going to perform from midfield when overtaking is and never was his forte Maybe TOYOTA got the wrong guy
Seansene 1st Gear October 14, 2004 Share October 14, 2004 Well next year I think he will Trulli be outshone by his team-mate
Hitman Neutral Newbie October 14, 2004 Author Share October 14, 2004 Yeah I think so too Then ... lets see whether Big Brother needs to come to the rescue
Seansene 1st Gear October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 A little track-side pushing and shoving? I think Big Brother will be too concerned about his own campaign... ↡ Advertisement
