Wish defeat Stream!! your opinion please?

I'm juggling time with work, studies and family. Market is ok .... yeah COE rising but we still think this rise is just a one-off, it'll probably go back down on the next bid or two

    New honda stream

These type of offers depends on how you look at it .... it is often calculated as something like this :- 1st 3 years @ 1.75% (50% off interest rates) = 1.75% x 3 years = 5.25% Next 4 years @ 3.5% (back to normal rate) = 3.5% x 4 years = 14% Average interest rate throughout 7 years = 14% + 5.25% = 19.25% / 7 years = 2.75% average If you wanna take this type of loan .... look at the penalty rebates .... thats when you'll realise the penalties they impound on you 5 years down the road when you try to sell off your car Calculate then and you'll realise that with the penalties, you are actually paying not 2.75% average but much much more ... closer to the original 3.5%

Standard interest rate is 3.5% fr 6 - 10 years. Interest rates are not a "playable" factor cause its all given by the banks. Thus some schemes have it that the banks charge you 4% interest rate but give you a higher CASHBACK rebate when they discount 50% off interest payments. Example : Loan = S$200,000 x 4% x 7 years loan = S$56,000 in interest. They rebate off 30% from this amount as CASHBACK = S$16800. Thus judgement is up to the consumer. Some people want and NEED the cash to offset their current car to trade-in at a loss. This cashback will cover that .... Some people dont need it ... so dont go for it, go for the normal 3.5% interest

Depends on how they play with the price ... The advertised price is never the correct price .... if you want the correct price, call them and ask them how much if you pay CASH !!! Then you'll get the correct price. Cause what they do is .... (List price - Cashback) = Advertised Price They try to price it as low as possible thus the Cashback portion is calculated at its highest loan amount possible.

Wish defeat Stream!! your opinion please?

I dont quite agree .... cheap is dependent Cars as we all know in Singapore is a money-loser, you just cant make money out of cars here You lose lots, so the rate of measure is often ... how least can I afford to lose to get from Pt A to Pt B Contrary to belief .... although the WISH is cheaper due to competition , it has a higher body value than the STREAM cause it has a higher demand export market

Wish defeat Stream!! your opinion please?

It all depends on how you look at it ... The Wish is brought in by parallel importers and thus, competition drove its price down. Now the Wish is very thrifty on fuel compared to the Stream. Thats where the competition was won. The Stream, although available via some parallel importers in its early years, Kah Motors sold the majority of the Stream population in SG. They controlled the price ... without competition, they dont have to lower the price to profit margins that werent attractive to them. As such, a Basic Wish vs a Basic Stream = 1.8 VVTi vs 1.7 VTEC, the Stream always costs more. Thats why many opt to go for the Wish ... cheaper at point of purchase and cheaper in fuel maintenance in the long run The win was not based on performance ... rather dollars and cents. Understand the consumer within this group. Buyers of Mid-sized MPVs like Stream and Wish are not speed addicts, they go for function and dollars.
