Black_c Neutral Newbie October 16, 2004 Share October 16, 2004 Hi, Just to find out which is the best, effective and cost saving tinted film to be use? 1. VKool 2. Huper Optik 3. Coolnlite 4. Mcgap 5. RikeCool 6. Others ↡ Advertisement
Elton Neutral Newbie October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 I had tried few brands of film for my past 4 cars. Vkool and Huper Optik is still the best. No such thing as cheap, good and effective. You can install other brand which can also makes you car window look darker, but the heat filtering portion may not as good as Vkool or Huper Optik. A bit exp for these 2 quality brands. Golfer Neutral Newbie October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 I heard from Nissan Tampines that there is a V-Cool call Mirage going at $800 i.e a darker tinted rear windscreen and side door glass. This is a life-time warranty instead of the normal 10 years. Looks neat. Any opinion what are the types of tinted screen V-cool has?
Jiayong 3rd Gear October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 hihi...poor student on tight budget here...so i choose according to my wallet. Using SunGuard now. It does reduce alot of glare and heat (previously i had none and my arm was always burning from the afternoon sun). I did my coupe (all window panels) for RM$320 (SG$143) but it wasnt the cheapest cos the boss charged me more cos i look like a good carrot to chop. A sedan will light green flim would cost only abot RM$280 (SG$125). I havnt tried any others yet so i cant compare.
Elton Neutral Newbie October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 Nope, no comment on coolnlite. I had tried 1. VKool 2. Huper 3. Ray Barrier 4. Sun Cool All of these flim also quite cooling and anti-glaring effect when compared to normal car window. Just share my experience: My friend and me parked side by side at the same carpark from 8 am to 12 pm. His car with VKool premium and mine with Ray Barrier premium. When we colect our car, I felt that his car interior is slightly cooler a little bit. Same car and model. How long are you going to drive the car? Does your job require you to drive around Singapore? If yes, VKool or HO. If no, any brand will do. Save some $$ for I.C.E which can be taken out when you sell your car.

Dcool Neutral Newbie October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 Hi, 3M just came out with their line of tint and UV films recently and my uncle have install the 3M premium in his car, I can really feel the difference with his black hyundai sonata and my car (orange colour) after parking at the same spot under the sun. His is definately much more cooler than mine. I am using Thermal Guard. Try to check the 3M out. I will ask him for the contact, if you are interested. If i knew that 3M just launch their window films earlier i would have definately go for it. 3M product cant be far off in their quality. I have been using 3M products in my engineering line and i trust their brand. Ask any engineer, he will tell you 3M products are good !
Elton Neutral Newbie October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 Go to http://www.v-kool.com.sg Or Visit the below thread: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi...=V-Cool;#509108 I am not so concern about the 10 years warranty as they also know that seldom pple can drive a car for 10 yrs. To install V-Cool is not a cheap option. Why don't you go down to their workshop or show room to have a better understanding? There are few different packages available. One more alternative is to install at Malaysia. I think there is also V-kool and Suncool or whatever cool. Much cheaper but quality don't know how.
