I wash my ride at least once week, sometime twice depending on my mood n time. Always wash just with water no shampoo.

As mentioned, I do not have experience with other brands of wax so cant say if its really that good.

am using this method with High Glaze 88. method is fast and good but becos sealant has been diluted with water, the protection wont last as long.

it's a trade-off lah... wink.gif

Its useful for maintaining the shine but wont last long. Sometimes I also do this method if I'm lazy. [rolleyes]

goin to wax my car for the first time this sunday...

read from forum that we should wax section by section... but heard from friends saying that it will save time if i jus apply the wax on the whole car then let it dry before cleaning off... whats your view?

is there any small details that i need to take note of... cos I'm waxing my car for the first time....

section by section or whole car then clean off? refer to the instructions printed on the back of the bottle!

some wax must clean off before it dries completely (eg zymol cleaner wax)

some wax must let dry then clean off (eg. turtle wax)

so best follow instruction thumbsup.gif

have fun waxing!!!

This is my first time hearing this. So after washing the car & re-washing it with water+wax solution, one dries the car as per normal? dizzy.gif

juz waxed my ride on sunday... used Turtlewax liquid wax and microfibre cloth.. very easy to use... the effect looks good but i dont suppose it will make my ride shine better than it did right? Wax is juz suppose to protect the paint? the shine before and after the wax is almost the same... you will only find swirl mark gone when u are closer to the car...

luckily i bought the microfibre cloth, else it will take longer time to clean off the wax compared to using normal cloth (those we used to polish our shoe). When i run my finger across the surface, it is smoother and feel slightly oily feeling rather than a waxy feeling....

The process is tiring... took 4hrs (including washing) buffing off the wax manually is the tedious part, feel like running 2.4km.... I applied wax on the whole car before buffing off the wax... think waxing part took 1hr max...

Good for u. Btw I just switch to autogylm, shampoo, polish n sealant. There was huge improvement from the just washing with water n waxing with turtlewax.

I heard from the forum that I can actually layer wax on top of my sealant. Is that true? If so wat wax should/could I use? Tks!
