Elkh Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 thanks for the information... during waxing... heard that the wax should not get in contact with the rubber n plastic part of the car... how true is this? Was thinking of using masking tape on the rubber n plastic part like what i saw in Wheel mag... u think this is too much of trouble... I'm not using manual waxing... Marcostan 4th Gear October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 oh can get AIO from the shop?? where ah? (btw I'm not in Sg that's why AIO is not available anywhere) . My routines every two months are wash, chemical polish (AIO etc), glaze then wax. I guess we all have our own ways of doin things Hi Steelblue, Go to get a copy of this month Wheels Magaizine $2.00. There's an advertisement of the Klasse products. They selling at $75 for AIO + SG and I brought it online and paid around S$130.00. So, it's very cheap to get from them 1/2 price as what I paid. Apollo 1st Gear October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 u dun need to, just get a smaller cloth go slower near the plastic.
Tien Neutral Newbie October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 try not to touch the plastic/rubber parts cos some wax will leave white residue on these materials. if you using higher range products, this should not be a problem as these products dont leave white residue (and they cost more too!) En0203 2nd Gear October 18, 2004 Share October 18, 2004 anyone tried TURTLEWAX products??? care to make some views??? just wax my car last week with turtlewax. not really that shiny but easy to apply coz it's in liquid form, somemore written at the back that the wax can last up to a year that's why use it but remember, if u don't wipe off the dried wax thoroughly, it'll leave dirty mark on ur car later. so make sure u wipe ur car thoroughly after the wax dries
Elkh Neutral Newbie October 19, 2004 Share October 19, 2004 thanks for the information.... how long did u wait for the wax to dry?
En0203 2nd Gear October 19, 2004 Share October 19, 2004 how long did u wait for the wax to dry? er.. didn't count ler, think about 5 minutes only coz i was damn hungry that time, don't want to wait too long
Toalson 1st Gear October 20, 2004 Share October 20, 2004 I'm using Turtlewax Emerald Series. Not bad for the shine, quite easy to apply n buff off. Comparing this with wat I used before, Armourall liquid wax, not much difference in durability, but shine definetly better. Thinking of changing, but donno wat else is more durable. Elkh Neutral Newbie October 20, 2004 Share October 20, 2004 oh sounds like turtlewas is a good choice... waiting for my very 1st waxing session.... how long did your turtlewax last? think is dependent on the number of time u wash your car and whether your use shampoo or not right? anyway maybe juz give me some guideline...
