Try Auto Dynamac, in Ubi industrial park. Look up the yellowpages for their addy. They should be able to advise you..

Or look for me at the next meetup and I can give you a better idea of what you should be looking for.

exterior I wont be bothered

interior I wont be bothered either

For comfort add Vkool etc..

For some fun add VAFC to stay legal

Challenge yourself if you can maintain the car as good as brand new even 5yrs later [laugh]

Hi,

congratulations to your new ride.

To add on to what cardinal had said, experiences from few who drive autos and had changed their intakes. Both CAI and SRI. The SRI with heat shield seems to have better results for autos. The con side of SRI is the induction roar. [rolleyes] Some like it [:)] Some don't [mad] It is LOUD [sly] after 3000rpm. [laugh]

Well any mods you do may void your warranty for the particular part you changed. So depending on what you want, warranty or FUN [sly]

The custom heat shield is about $150. Local SRI should cost around $200 with a proper cone filter. (I recommend apexi [;)] ) Cant confirm as my SRI is injen. Brought in from USA. Cost me US$150.

P.S. Be warned: It has LOUD induction roar. [nod][nod]

10.5sec is impressive. However, this is confirmed overstated. Most likely 12-13sec for the CVT as discussed in SHC at

On the positive side, the upshift of CVT should be very smooth [thumbsup]

Need the expert to teach me! Bodykit + fog light without spolier cost $1900 already!

Currently i am using a Zegen Fireball 16" for my G9. Not sure whether want to transfer it to the Civic. I am thinking getting a 15" rim instead!

I check on the mag that from 0-100km, it takes 10.5 sec. what can we do to improve?

Improve power = more fuel usage? Advise? Tks [sunny]

Errr... overstated? Not really. With a proper launch, it has been proven that 10.5 is not too ambitious for the CVT. Just as the manual VTi indeed does close to 9.2 as stated in the specs. This is based on real life measurements.

Anyway, having said that, 0-100 is an academic measurement that only gives a tiny glimpse into the car's real worth, just that it's ease of measurement and comparison leads it to be quoted so often that it becomes an obsession, unfortunately.. [laugh]

Estimated to be around $19K. Can get my car before mid Dec provided i secure my COE. Rebate at $22K

I choose silver. Wanted black but they do not have! The gold seems to be too uncle and the red and green, not my kind of tea. Left only the blue and silver. Silver seems to be easly maintain than blue. If i can get black, i will sure clean it everyday!

Check with the sale person on the CVT problem. He claim that the new batch will not have this problem anymore!! Come with 3 years warranty!

No black!! [:/] ..... but silver is great too!! [thumbsup] .... gold?? [shakehead]

I am not sure how to launch a CVT. Like it or not .. i am pretty sure there's this rubberband effect from soft launch. Thus, in theory it's already disadvantaged due to this. Unless with "proper" launch, it could reduce the rubberband effect to achieve a faster pickup.

For the benefit of all CVT owner, probably the best mod is the "proper" launching. Could you enlighten us how to do it?

Rubberband effect:

Hmmm.. I've seen a CVT launch by revving at neutral and shifting to S-mode. I've also heard of stepping on the brake while revving the engine to desired RPM. it's definitely not good for the gearbox, but it's surprisingly how many of the gearboxes that have been abused are the ones that seem to give the least problems. [confused]

Like I said, it's just to measure 0-100 timings, I don't think most people are willing to do this to the CVT just to get those timings.

Hmm, it makes me wonder if those CVT problems are the results of those pple who abuse the gearboxes [lipsrsealed]

Ya agree, no need to hard launch the car. Just enjoy the smooth ride of the CVT [thumbsup]
