Hi Bros,

After looking high and low for Meguiars Professional #26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax and #16 Paste Wax I finally found the only place that have them and the rest of the the full Meguiars range! Its the distributer Hypercoat Pte Ltd located at No.1 Loyang Way 6. The #26 costs $21 and the #16 costs $25.

Note that they have no showroom area u will have to walk up to the 2nd floor and enter their office and say that u want to buy meguiars product. Also look out for the arrival of the new NXT Paste Wax in the next few months.

Cheers!

Neutral Newbie

I get mine from Home Fix at Great World City and Carrefour at Suntec. May not have complete range so I just get what is offered.

Yah a good range but u wont be able to get these two products. Hypercoat does not supply these to consumers because they think that being professional pure waxes consumers wont know how to use them properly. For the Professional series, Consumers only get the Polymer sealant which contains cleaners and is easier to use. One off the shelf pure wax available though is the Deep Crystal Carnuba wax. Not bad but still not in the league of #26 and $16.

Personally I spent alot of time going round to find these products only to be disappointed tim and time again. Just hope to spare some bros here the wasted effort by sharing the place that is not a waste of time.

Cheers!

Not better, different. Authentic Premium gave me excellent clarity, depth and reflections. #26 gave me gloss, depth and a darkening effect. Both are excellent stuff!!!

Well personally I have not used #16 so its really not verifiable but based on what I have read on Autopia Authentic Premium is probably a better product. Looking at the raw wax in the tin #16 is blue and muddy looking where as Premium is very whitish with a tinge of yellow and looks much more refined than #16.

Also, Authentic premium is very easy to apply and remove but #16 has a reputation for being quite fussy. Durability wise I have no idea.. #16 is famous for being very durable but im not sure if its better/worse than Authentic premium.

We really need someone to buy and try #16!

Here are some pics after polishing with #80 speed glaze and a layer of #16. Bought both products from hypercoat and applied them with an orbital.

#16 is easy to remove if you apply a thin coat, it does not produce any residue when buffing and dries clear. :)

I have a tin of Meg #16 (another one on the way)[thumbsup][thumbsup] , I should be OK for the next 10 years [laugh] . The clarity and gloss is superb, meg#16 would be almost unmatched for light colour paint .
