May I know whats the FC like for Aveo? Mine is clocking 251km for 22litres (after my 10k servicing). Well, if I am to based on the fuel meter to guage, it drops to a quarter tank even before i cover a distant of 250km. Could it be that the meter is faulty??

Whats your pervious FC readings? Optra is known to have this problem.. haven heard it on Aveo yet... What oil you use?

Check your dipstick. Could be the wonderful mechanics at SA overfilling your oil sump.

hmmm....but how can i tell if its overfilled? If yes, what should i do?

Your dipstick will tell. The oil must be between MIN and FULL(MAX) and not beyond FULL.

 

Can't help if it is overfilled. You got to drain the oil but you cannot drain halfway. The oil will gush out the moment you release the drain plug. See an indie mechanic for a solution to bring the level down but still keep the oil.

drain out completely to a clean container, then pour back (- 1 cupfull).

or simply suck out some oil from the top. use one of those hand pump for fish tank
