If more than 3000 pcs sold so far, it cannot be too wrong ... but to pay more than $100 to get 3-5% improvement in FC is a bit too high ... but still some are willing to quene and pay for it.

But if it can prolong the life of the battery and alternator than it should be worth it ... no proof on this one yet.

yah.. guess so... tempted to install it. Imagine how much fuel you'll save. 5% difference is quite alot. especially if u consider 1yr=60% savings minimum... [thumbsup][gossip]

Yes it start off from Toyota forum. Have the non commercial version (under $100)installed in my Tody. Went thru. 3 versions with Jonathan the guy who started it. The one I have comes with blinking led light alternating from red to blue. There is a slight improvement in brightness of lights, clarity in audio and pickup (claimed by some pple who tried it). It doesn't seem to work for all tho' as some friends who tried it out don't see/feel any difference.

Nope... I believe Z-stab isn't a capacitor... If it is, it'll only take up more fuel and causes the motor to charge 2 things instead of 1... the battery and the z-stab. [sunny]

Then again... I donno. [sweatdrop]

But to those who have tried it, does ur FC improve, remain same or got worse? [smash]

Save the money dude. Your torque and bhp actually drops in the low end. Go check out the dyno chart if you dont believe. [:)]

Actually the concept is v simple rite... If it's so good, why dun car manufacturers have it stock with the cars. It wun cost much to design their own proprietary version. That'll put these 3rd parties out of business.

called up motor image yesterday top check with them if the warranty of my 1.6TS will be voided if i installed the Z-stab. got a very disappointing answer. "yes definitely". really don understand why motor image so _ucked up. previously i ask them about changing air filter and spark plug also got the same answer. any ideas how can i install the Z-stab without having the warranty voided.

i have seen the www.z-stab.com. i notice that the air intake of the subaru 1.6TS intake have been changed. i wonder where have they been to have it change. it looks cool. not really sure if it has improved the performance. can someone knowledgable pls enlighten me.

60% saving a year? How do you derive such figures?

Not exactly 60% a year... Let's say u top up ur fuel once a month full tank = 100%

5% saving means u only use 95% of ur tank. So, every time u top full tank, u only top up 95% more. Thus saving the 5% from previous top up... [dizzy]

every month save 5%, end of year we get total of 60%... [sweatdrop]

eg: Full tank = $50

5% saving is $2.50...

Every month we save that $2.50, end of year we get to save up to $30... [scholar]

If count back, $30 = 60% total savings. [thumbsup]

IMHO, this product is highly questionable since the entire mid-range 2500 to 4000 rpm experience a drop in power. The side-effect is that you would have to step more of the gas pedal and guess what....that negates the fuel savings. My advice: Don't buy!!!

Newspaper is just doing its job to encourage Sinagporeans

to "BUY SINGAPORE".

Haven't tried it, probably would not as I am sceptical about

such products.

Anyway, 5% savings (assumming its true) only works out to

be about $3 per top up, not worth the hassle especially

if u subscribe to the fact that there is no such thing as

a device which saves fuel and yet does not compromise

on power. [rifle]

heh, the way you put it across is a little misleading, but you will do well marketing for the z-stab. its still 5% across your 12 month petrol bill, or 60% of your 1 month petrol bill for the entire year, which isn't that impressive after all. I've got the Gen 2 in a sunny, seems to have improved responsiveness somewhat, but not too sure about FC.If you're serious about improving FC, you can always be slightly more lightfooted, and if you want responsiveness, let your car adapt to your slightly more agressive driving style. yeah, saw the dyno-chart too..... dun understand.... i am not sure about you guys and gals... but my normal driving style is somehow like... gear change at about 2500-3500rpm(depend on mood [laugh]...can be higher... but let's talk about normal driving [;)] ) so if there is a torque and power drop from 2500 to slightly less that 4000 as indicated in the chart, that means there is lost mah... where got gain.... [dead] unless they are talking about during pick up lor... seems to have some improvment...

and the otherthing is, is so big and unsightly...
