Biege and Grey Interior.

Hi folks,

To what I was told by Kah Motors, Honda no longer package their cars with grey interior as compared to a few years back. Now, it's all biege interior for Civics.

Is there any way we could get hold of a Grey or Black interior inclusive of dashboards and door panels and seatings? Any other sources or overseas Honda dealer?

I did ask about it ... but they say they do not allow special orders.

I was thinking of ordering from overseas sources, like Honda distributors in other countries ... but not sure of the cost involved. Thailand is one of the choice.

I asked around and also search online ... seems like it's not going to be that easy as just changing the trim/dash/dorr panels etc. There's a big problem regarding the whole carpeting of the car interior ... meaning the floor and the roof.

Not forgetting the steering wheel as well. [sweatdrop]

Have u tried asking the SE to check their ex-stock. I ordered a VTi-S beginning of this year and got a grey interior one. I really cannot stand beige interior and told the SE 'no grey interior no deal'. Somehow, she managed to dig out one for me.

Alternatively, try parallel importers. I know of a JDM Civic RS in Singapore. Maybe these guys can help u bring in a grey interior ride.

Happy hunting!

Check ex-stock ... didn't know I could do that. Even if I could change the seats, trim/dash and door panels. What about the roof lining and stuffs? They have to redo the whole car interior isn't it?

Please advice.

You have to find ways to redo the roof lining and stuffs, meaning the whole car interior needs to be changed. Personally, I dun think it is worthwhile to do it becoz it will cost a bomb and no one can gaurantee the workmanship (unless KM do it for you). I believe no workshop in SG has done this project before.

There are 2 ways to get around this. The expensive way and the cheap way.

The expensive way will be to parallel import a grey interior JDM civic if you are thinking of getting a new one ride. The cheap way will be to learn to appreciate the beige interior. Personally, I'll chose the latter and keep the money in my wallet.

Cheers!
