Mivec9 1st Gear October 6, 2005 Author Share October 6, 2005 Is it fate or what, immediately after doing timing belt package, today the alternator failed on me. Car couldn't reach 4th gear...engine died by itself. Off A/C, car back to normal and halfway to my mechanic, the battery light was on. Reached safely at mech and changed alternator + yuasa battery. Mivec9 1st Gear October 24, 2005 Author Share October 24, 2005 that darn mechnic who changed my alternator lasted only 2 weeks This morning got him to tow my car to his workshop and still got the cheek to say "depends on luck".... listen also hot... argue a while, he wanted me to top up 80 bucks for new one and towing... Shd have listen to my inner voice, go MC, their alternator though recon, can last at least couple of years. Anyway since i'm there, juz pay for tow charge and he changed another recon alternator... If it dies again on me....do u think i will go back to him for further evaluation... Confirm puey chao nua liao...will go MC instead.
