Dear moomoojeff,

I'm at hankook and have just weighed the Ventus V8 tires [laugh]

205/45r17 weighs in at 7kg (15.4lbs) [crazy]

215/45r17 weighs in at 8kg (17.6lbs) [sly]

This is a good gauge on how much lighter the tire is compared to the 2 tires you've cited (which weighs 22lbs). In terms of unsprung weight, the savings of 2kg per tire will enhance pick up & FC [inlove] ....hope this info helps.

btw, jus to share with u my experience, i tried the bend [PIE(JUR) exiting to toh guan road, exit 30] at 90kmh with a latio sedan using 215/45r17 Ventus V8 [drivingcar] The grip was good [thumbsup] No screeching sound, no signs of understeering, felt very confident in taking the corner at higher speeds [inlove] Noise level was fairly quiet. ride was stable on dry Road conditions wif fair weather [sunny]

In my humble opinion and personal view, it beats my 205/45r17 Precedas hands down [bigcry] Given that im comparing my current 205 instead of 215s, i will use 205/45r17 Ventus V8 on 1st April 2006 to maintain consistency and thereafter revert with a detailed FR after testing the tires.

Any bros/sis here would like to join the LatioClub on the 1st, you are more than welcomed [wave] Meet up starts at 1300hr onwards @ Hankook Tyres. Im driving a White Latio Sports with 17" Enkei CPS2 Rims as shown in my avatar [flowerface]

Cheers!

I don't like it when most manufacturers don't provide all the specs that we consumers are really interested in, like weight of the tyre. What have they got to hide? Just look at this spec sheet from Federal:

http://www.federaltire.com/en/images/datas...01625_SS535.pdf

Now, this is what I call spec sheet for consumers. Not that I am a supporter of Federal. Kumho, to a certain extent also provide good specs, but they can really take a leaf from Federal as well.

Hi thinking of changing my Aspec dB to V8, can anyone advice me the price for 205/55/16 or 205/50/16 and where to get the tyres from?

I think "V8 RS" or "Blackbird" or "H424" all refers to the same model? Perhaps Robertoon can clarify this?

But I do remember both the wordings "V8RS" and "Blackbird" appearing on my 15", I think. rolleyes.gif

Blackbird is the code they used in Korea market...so V8rs and Blackbird is the same..like some car model called differently in different market....

just got my 15" blackbirds from the toh guan shop today.

immediately could feel the difference in grip as compared to the aspec db.

However, I notice that my front tyres a bit deflated, is this normal? any recommendation on how much to pump. I am driving a hyundai matrix.
