Here's an incident that happened recently to a relative:

Travelling down Clementi Rd past Ngee Ann Polytechnic towards Upper Bukit Timah Road. For those familiar, there's this overpass followed by an underground section which essentially drops the speed limit from 70kmph (along the main stretch of Clementi Rd) to 60kmph once you hit the overpass. Of course, (almost) anyone driving that stretch on a late evening or early morning would have just taken advantage of an uninterrupted stretch and remained at, say, 70-ish ?

Well, check this out - right at the end of the underground portion, the limit drops to 50kmph (of course, hardly anyone notices that sign as you're probably more concerned about negotiating the bend) and whammo!!! There's this TP just after that to slap you for doing 70ish (maybe 80) on a 50 zone.

So far, the bulk of people I've asked never noticed the "50" sign at the end of the tunnel.... [:p]

Thats the problem .... I dun know manz , are we expected to slam on our brakes or can we just cruise to slow down.

If slam brakes ... DANGEROUS, if cruise ... kena summon. shakehead.gif

Just like when you exit E-Way ... on E-Way 90 kph ... the filter rds out of E-Way 50 kph .... my car takes over 40 secs just to get down from 90 kph to 50 kph on cruise (no brakes and no throttle input). shocked.gif

If brake .... sure kena horn from behind and somemore damn dangerous crazy.gif
