Hi guys, just wanna share with u some of the off road driving i just had in gold coast....it was really exhilerating....a totally different of driving skills required off the road.....as u know that on normal tarmac, traction is never a problem but once off the tarmac and onto gravel.....it's a total different driving skills, where u have to balance your car very well....especially braking, controlling the car mass, requires alot of torque but reasonable horsepower....too much is dangerous as well....have to really control the car very well in late braking and counter steering.....even had a feel of Initial D, doing some drifting.....but all i can say is that the new Rex has a better handling off the road......

here are just some of the pictures of my one day thrill in two different WRXs.....the feeling is SHIOK!!!

yeah, we are suppose to attend a briefing kind of thing.....how to enter a corner, at what rpm, gears, types of braking, how to shift the car mass....stuff like that and how to get out of corners at fast speed.....it's quite cool....and it's in fact similar to the WRC style...but just that not into the woods....it's never easy to control that beast especially when traction is low.....kind of like flowing on the gravel, shifting the centre of gravity of the car around which is exceptionally important....... thanks pal....but seriously after driving the rexes, i do really feel the urge of grabbing one back home.....it's really an awesome car that has good driveability...i drove the version 5 and 6 respectively, but prefer the latter......more controllability....

as for the cost, i guess i feel the money is well spent on the driving experience in off road, which is quite hard to find in singapore.......

for more info, i have attached the circuit to share with u guys..... [:)]

now i remember my radio controll car racing days where we slide, drift, jump, the 1/10 and 1/8 scales gas engine car on off-road track......... selection of tyre patterns, spring ratings, shock oil tensity, camber/toe-in/caster etc etc are really critical besides driving skill......... lots of these knowledge and driving/cornering techniques are same between full size and 1/10 scale off-road racing........... kick ass man !!!!

yeah man, u could try it.....but only on a track where nobody is around.....and most important, u really need to get a bucket seat and at least 4 point harness to do it....or else u will be thrown around as well in the car......... [laugh][laugh][laugh]
