I can do all these. Brake shoes? Easily DIY'd and you will find them pretty good. I seldom use my brakes. sly.gif

Brake fluid should be DOT 4. Can't find the nice ATE TYP 200. PS fluid can easily blast out with the turning steering wheel left right method after isolating the input line. Else, can use the cheap turkey baster method and do over 6mths sweatdrop.gif.

As for coolant change. I found out that is not the drain port. GMDAT cars have no drain ports with stopc0cks! Changing coolant is a very wet affair for GMDAT cars. The "drain" is the small tubing that is entering the expansion tank. You got to run the engine first to make it heat up and get the thermostat to open. Then isolate this coolant input line and rev engine to drain from there using the water pump to flush. Cannot let the reservoir dry up so another person has to top up the expansion tank with water. Coolant reservoir is 7L and calculated, you need 10L of DI water for the flush. Once the coolant coming out is clear, quickly top up with concentrated antifreeze (3L) then plug back the input line quickly when you finish pouring in the antifreeze.

Sounds like fun, eh? scholar.gif I will post instructions and possibly video tape the event.

Yah.. Just wank the god damm steering

to the left and right to get all

the stupid P/S oil out.

Hmm w/o drain plug, then why

dont you just un-hose the lower

hose going into the engine and

let all the stupid coolant drained

out instead of removing the little

hose to Reservior??

Topping up will be via expansion tank.

How about that?

Cannot use that hose lah! You need to flush the old coolant out from the whole system. Using the same principle as the PS fluid change, you use the tube that connects to the expansion tank as the end point of the coolant system so you can flush everything out.

Since it is so troublesome just to change. I'm thinking of using the Prestone 5/150 coolant. 5yrs or 150k miles no need to change.
