Octopus 3rd Gear April 3, 2005 Share April 3, 2005 apart from getting a smooth surface after waxing. WHat's the real reason for waxing? or to protect the laquer? IMHO, waxing cannot achieve smooth surface if the surface itself became rough due to environmental contaminants.....if want smooth surface, use claybar instead. Genie47 1st Gear April 3, 2005 Share April 3, 2005 Waxing very painful one you know. They apply some sticky stuff on that area and put some paper on it. They tear out the paper and all your hair come out with you screaming.......uh.....not that kind of waxing ah?
Setget Neutral Newbie April 3, 2005 Share April 3, 2005 In addition to a claybar, polishes , both chemical and possibly abrasive are needed to fully prep a car b4 waxing / sealing.
