Hi everyone,

Firstly, let me just say this is a great forum. Very informative and a hugely rich source of any form of car technical information.

Would just like to ask a few questions,

Currently, I am on Alpine 9833 and a set of Rainbow components. Did my front door sound proofing and is rather satisfied with the quality of the sound produced compared to the stock.

I am actually looking into completing my setup by adding a decent amp to power my component and a good sub. Well, I am not really a hardcore bass lover where the "thud, 'thud' blast can actually tear the car apart. But I would say I am rather particular when it comes to sound quality. I am still in the mist of doing my research on these 2 items, so I would be more than thankful if the bros and sis out there can perhaps share with me on:

1. a decent amp that is to be use to power the components.

2. a decent sub that can replicate the lower frequencies without having to tear the entire vehicle up.

Now I understand quality comes with $ when it comes with sound quality, but really I am not looking into the highest range of ICE. My budget actually only stands ard $800 for these 2 items.

Thanks.

if u free, go look online ... tink yahoo auctions for this amp called audio art.. its no more in the market, company caved in, but its a DAMM GOOD SQ amp also best is.. ITS MADE IN THE US!! price wise, there's this small 120 watt 2 channel amp goin for 120 on yahoo auction.. tats a good brand..

lets say for $400 per amp.u can try JBL.. sadly its all made in China now.. quite sad.. but its aroudnd that price range.. but sure can power ur system..

don be like me last time buy funny brand amps... end up regretting....if best, look for made in US.... some of these ass shops when asked whether it is made in USA, they will first tell u its a US brand, parts all by US, US design, win lots of compeitition, then tell u good.. then when u ask again, they will tell u softly..assembled in china,, BUT QC BY ANG MO..

so just be careful.. if i had the $ and tim, look around for the older sound streams or Rockfords.. made in US.. can trust..

my 2 cents worth..

cheers mate

PS.. u go message SLONZE see whether he got ani more audio art to sell..

Or install the subwoofers in the rear panel and seal up the boot. [sly]

This method is for ppl who have loads to carry everytime and have no extra space for woofer box.....

Having space for a woofer box in the boot is a privilege now I realise. [sweatdrop]
