Simple but fundamental

just did my tyre rotation and balancing when i visited a tyre shop to mend a puncture tyre.

 

Have diven quite a bit since and i've noticed the ride to be less noisy and more comfortable.

 

once again i got reminded of the basic but absolutely fundamentals... cheers

most agents' workshops do tat for their customers.....

for other workshops, u must tell them to do so....

for some workshops and authorised agents, u tell them to do and get charged for it but they will forget (or too darn lazy) to do it...

 

u can make markings on the front rims to make sure they actually rotate the wheels if u can't see them working (for eg. sending your car to the authorised agents)

yes, they will definitely charge under the servicing package, as long they write it down by the S.A. Remember, they're no longer a customer service center but a profit center.....got too many overheads to keep.

How many mileage did you clock before you rotate your tyre? I did mine after about 8k km, but didn't noticed any difference leh, but still rotate it anyway so that wear between front and rear would be more evenly distributed.

It's just simple economic, even some govt depts will charge minium of s$10.00 to inspect simple documents that take less than 30 seconds.

at least the dept inspect and get the work done right? being charged for what is not done is totally unacceptable...

 

anyway, i'm quite sceptical of servicing at dealerships nowadays. if they can charge a driver for rotation and not do it, u can imagine the number of other things which they can do... (charge syn oil but use min oil, charge for iridium plugs but use copper ones, etc )

yup, that's reality in Sg, nuthing here is cheap or free anymore.

Ofcourse , I for one will not support daylight robbery!! If they have the work order issuse and you have paid for it and they fails to carry out the task, you have the liberty to go for their neck.

Even working from you own HDB home, you still have to pay HBD s$20.00 and for those staying in landed property or cond the ruling do not apply.

It very difficult to have a very equal and just society. The communist try it and fail miserably. Japan is the only country with very high percentage of middle middle class people but the model is not working anymore. Japan's economic is at stand still for more than a decade only lately there is some movement.

Over in Spore, the social protection net is slowly but surely being removed and many in the society will have to learn new skills in living and surviving !!
