Zrun Neutral Newbie May 2, 2005 Share May 2, 2005 If u change both struts and springs, it is ideal, but make sure the struts is made for the lowered height. Also, some no name companies says they are making "performance" struts, however, their struts are crap, and it is better to use stock struts. For 1" drop, I think it is ok to keep stock strut. I've 2" drop, and still using stock strut for about 2 years already, and it is still ok. Furthermore, I've 17/45/215 profile tires that is extremely bumpy, especially over the lousy roads in my area. I'm using stock struts because replacement struts is cheap, and it is quite easy to DIY replace. Here's a horror story of a person who bought cheap coilovers ==> http://www.seattlersx.com/forum/forum_post...3633&PN=1&TPN=
