Hello welcome to the home of Optra where u will get along with the freebies from ur agent

1) a freaky fuel gage which will go haywire whenever u change ron level; provided it doesnt give problem even if u use a constant ron level.

2) freaky high rpm when at neutral gear (only the lucky few will get it !!)

3) fuel injector's failure ( u will be glad tat I am the only Optra owner in Spore to experience it)...

4) to be sure the above is not just my bias view,,,see the comments from our fellow owners up north....

Btw, I had also written to the gentleman mentioned, the response that I get was..nod.gif

Think twice is my advise

Hmm....an extremely disatisfied customer....same here too furious.gif

I told SA techs that my steering tie-rod was buggered, hence the occasional knocking sound when you go over humps. But they insisted there was nothing wrong with it.

So they lubricated the stabilizer bar and returned the car back to me. furious.giffurious.gif

what sound did you hear?? i hear sounds sometimes too.....

That is really unfortunate..... go press Gilson until he does something, that's how I got my aircon blower replaced so quickly.

Seriously, I'm not sure how bad your "jerking" is, perhaps you really got a lemon this time? But if you're still not getting the right attention, it's time to go higher up the management.

I got me R-cool & a prison cell (For station wagon only), lowest car price, highest COE (for this 1/2 yr)

mines manual, so far besides the fuel guage, center interior light problem being X-files, the rest is lovely and lovely.

Dun be discourage by comments from a lot of toubled owners, they do have their point. SA is not competent, the car has inherent problems after times, but well, wat the hack, [sunny][flowerface][laugh] is the way to owning this car. if you ask me anyday I have 60k to worry for 10 yrs, i will choose this former daewoo chevy over toyota, honda or any japan brand (I am a ex owner of cars from those most popular 2) anyday. Beauty in the eye of the beholder. [nod]

The white is not pure white. Actual colour is a bit creamy. So far have not seen on the road and the last stock count they have is abt less than 5 . Very few only.

Black is nice, but diff to maintain. You're right not very fantastic deal. I wanted leather seats but need to top up $1k. Wheich if u choice the premium version, they will give u sports rim+ leather seat + a 5 cd changer(non -MP3 player).

Some 'cracking' sound..

Like a old room door hinge

that needs lubrication..

I don't have the 'cracking' sound, but I checked the lower arm and it seems fine.

I can confirm the steering tie-rod is buggered because there is quite a lot of play in it. And that's where the sound is coming from.
