Platinum plugs can go in excess of 100k. You are throwing away good plugs at 20k. Keep them in there! After 100k, you on grace.

 

As for engine oil you need 3.6L or close to 4qts (4qts is 3.75-3.8L).

 

I believe the Sirion is the M301, right?

Listed for the M301 Sirion (2005) is 3.6L engine oil, 2.2L manual box lube, 2.2L for slush box fluid.

 

Hi Genie47 , thanks a million for the tip. If not, i will be chopped for the next 20k servicing. The service staff told me to change it after 20k .... chopping ignorant newbie owner like me.

 

U r right! Sirion is M301. The link is . It was also stated 3.6l in the owner's manual but just like to confirm... so that they are not pouring my $$ away.

Just remember. Go thin. This is a small car, everything helps. Start with 10W30 first and work your way down.

May I posed a question? Sirion really looks like malaysia's Myvi aka my vehicle from Perodua. I saw many Myvi vehicles in Malaysia and it really reminds me of Sirion.

 

What's the difference???

Thanks Genie47 . Currently, I'm using 5W30 (changed during 1st servicing @ 8.5k). I read your posting comparing 5W30 and 10W30 that the difference is on the startup.

"Start with 10W30 first and work your way down"... so I should try 5W20 after a few oil changed? The second parameter is the oil thickness right? i.e. 20 is thinner than 30.

If you are driving locally in Singapore. 5W20 should suffice.

I bought the sound insulation in JB

It is in a size about 1.5m by 2m

 

THen I cut it myself to the shape and paste it

 

the insulation cost me about RM140

 

If you int I can help you get it when my friend go in for his work
