Yo guys, recently my Octy's consumption has been increasing. Used to be 11.5 l/km, then dropped to 11 l/km, then 10.5 l/km and now 10 l/km!! Any of you guys experienced such nonsense before? My car has been the same all this while without any additional mods. Could it be due to engine oil or other things like lousy fuel etc? Hmmm.. [hur]

My current odo reads 38000km. Stock ecu can tune ignition timing meh? [confused] I tot only piggybacks like Emanage and stand alone computers can do that.

11.5 is very good. 10 to 11 I think shd be norm. Anyway, is it only one time this happen, or alreadi a few fill-up that u get this figure. FC depends on lots of factors.

I won't be surprised that the oil co.s reduced the amt of additives in their petrol in a cost cutting measure, hence your higher fuel consumption.

possible, as long as they meet the min requirement. that is why I sometimes use oil additives, esp friction reducing type to enhance and supplement the engine oil.

Recently only leh bro. It seems like I am getting less on a full tank nowadays. When I calculate backwards, I get around 10km per litre max. [sweatdrop]

maybe the weather. Very hot lately, fuel vapourise faster. [laugh]

park under shelter, avoid heavy traffic and short trip, might improve a little.

serious about fuel vapourizing in the fuel tank? [confused] in that case, when we open up the fuel cover, won't we have fumes coming out of our tanks??

Possibility :

1) Air pressure in tyre is dropping as well.

2) You are pumping your petrol during day time lately.

Ok guys... here are the instructions...

Need a Vagtool to do it...

Got mine done thanks to Dennis, KK and Amos while I was at Servo [thumbsup]

1. Get into the Instruments module (module 17).

2. Click the Recode button.

3. Write down the code number in the box so u will remember it.

4. Don't mess with the Workshop Code box though.

5. Change the third digit in the code number to 5.

6. Our original should be 1.

7. You will get km/l display immediately
