And being a gal, won't quite understand those technical stuff. Some simple questions. 1. What kind of freebies can i ask for?? 2. Fuel consumption. I read through some posts and it says smething like 13km/l. What does tt mean for a full tank? Like if i travel frm hougang to NIE to and fro, can a full tank last me the whole week? What's the cost of a full tank? 3. Maintanence cost. I took a small loan from them and all I got was an umbrella. Some of the bros here managed to get cash discounts, petrol vouchers, key chains, umbrella, polo tees. But, IMHO, why take a bigger loan from them to get freebies when in the end your pay more in loan interest repyament? 2. Fuel consumption. I read through some posts and it says smething like 13km/l. What does tt mean for a full tank? Like if i travel frm hougang to NIE to and fro, can a full tank last me the whole week? What's the cost of a full tank? Unless you're super-duper master of the pedal (e.g. like Genie who gets around 12-13km/l), most of us here range anywhere between 8-11km/l. Tank capacity is 45 litres but I'm sure you can pump slightly more like 5l (experts please correct me if I'm mistaken). 3. Maintanence cost. For those who have had their cars serviced at other workshops, what's the average cost? Most of the Chevy people here still go back to SA for servicing as most of us are pretty new owners. However, some gurus prefer to DIY or go to specialised exteral Chevy-experienced workshop to do their servicing. Another thing about maintainence. There's other related maintainence stuff like repainting, removing dents, damaged tyres, spoilt rims, etc that no one can actually put a dollar sign to it. Enjoy your test drive. Bluewind79 Neutral Newbie June 12, 2005 Share June 12, 2005 So have u book the aveo5? 1. freebies - u can ask for reverse sensor or tinted flim. (polo-t or umbrella is a standard item) 2. FC - most aveo maunal/auto is getting ard 10+ - 12km/l. i getting 11.4km/l (manual) It means tat per litre of petrol can tavel 11.4km & for a full tank is 45l so can travel (45*11.4 = 513km). so u gauge how many kilometer u travel a day & divide accordingly (eg. 513km / 80km per day = last for ard 6 days ) Maintanence cost - depends on the package the workshop offers and what servicing u r doin (eg. A normal servicing; esso fully synthetic engine oil 4l, 4pcs spark plug, oil filter & other points check would cost $98). For those who have had their cars serviced at other workshops, what's the average cost? think tt's about it. thanks. 1. it actually depends, i think reverse sensor is pretty standard, as for other freebies, u have to do your homework, ask around, dont go in and ask what they can give you, you should ask for it. i agreed with Brock on the loan part, what's the point of getting a free reverse sensor (which cost only $100+) but stuck with bigger loan and bigger interest? remember if the SE mentioned if loan too low, cannot give freebie, stand up, thank him/her for the time and move to another SE (worst come to worst, there are 2 chevy sales stores here :P) am sure your request will be granted BUT of coz your request must be reasonable lah. cannot ask for the sky and hope the SE bend over mah. BTW i got $500 discount plus reverse sensor, think some other bros gotten tinted windows/ petrol vouchur etc. Rule of thumb is the higher the loan you get, the bigger your bargaining power. I ranked reverse sensor as must-have whereas tinted glass is good-to-have, so when i got the $$$ discount and reverse sensor, didnt try too hard for the tinted glass... but regret not getting Visor, should have push harder... :) ↡ Advertisement Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
