Had checked up V-kool at Sing Ming. Was quoted list price $1150 for Premier, $850 for UV protect,etc. Was told that any referal of their past customer has a further 15% discount. May i know where did you install your v-kool and how much did you pay for it?

As for the film bubbles yes it will gone in few days or 2 wks.

winding down of windows is to ensure the film stick well on the glass.

But for wire case u must go back and change again cos that not acceptable.

Did u use V-cool b4?.... If so, can give a review/comparison. Wanna know if 3M 99% IR rejection really live up to its name.

Yes i did use V-cool b4 the problem i face with v-cool is that the film get rust.

 

IR? I did do some research on the IR and found out that there is no standard measurement on it so everyone claim that they have a high IR rejection due to different ways to measure.

 

As for performance I feel that 3M is much more better than V-cool for the front 3 panels and back panels v-cool better.

 

As I understand 3M film is certifiy by US skin cancer association.

Sorie but I tot IR measurement should be same just maybe dfferent in instrument used. Btw what method was used in their measurment if u could remember.

 

And based on ur experience, u mention the V-cool better in the rear and that was when the tiniting is still 50% rite as compare to ur current 3M which is 75% I was wondering as I believe the higher the tinting the worst the IR rejection as the darker tint absorb more IR. And therefore resulting ur review that V-cool is better for the rear. Am I correct?

 

Actually I did tot of converting to 3M but mine is free (rikecool) thus hang on to it.

 

Yes I have fair share of bubbles which I didnt really care so much as it didnt obstruct my view. Anyway its 10yrs warrenty so dont care, if wan can like complain anytime. But I do realise it does help to reduce the baking effect if like park the car for a abt less than 3hrs.

Proably, u are right but there are also plenty of good brands where they serve the same functiion but only difference in prices,cheers!!!

I not too sure but quite unlikely. But if urs a small car think can try calling them and ask. Heard recently they have another place to install 3M film, last time only 1 at ubi.

I also agree tat quality product is the key to satisfaction. Actually I would have use 3M if the price is abt the same as V-cool

If not wrong ard the same as Vkool. I know 1 of my consultants got it for his camry at 1K+ (cos he took up the highest end).

its all about WORKMANSHIP... you can buy any brands, if the installer is lousy... give him vkool also like that...

 

i've done my vkool at bukit batok... very good workmanship... don't have the bubbles as described [thumbsup]happy since day one, the only complaint is that vkool is more x than other brands, cost me about 590 for my matrix

Err tink u mistaken, the discussion is on the effectiveness of the solar flim. Apparently only Vkool & 3M state that their film has a capability of higher IR rejection.

 

I do agree on workmanship; which only relates to installation.
