Hi Bro,

No this is not Obit. Obit is more for BMWs than other cars. Yes, it works with other cars too but doesn't work to the fullest if you don't use it in a BMW. I know a lot of workshops in Malaysia uses OBit and so as BVO Automotive in SG.

The unit that I'm referring to is UniChip which is fully programmable from South Africa.

Cheers!

Kev

Hi Kev

I drivin a tody, close relative of Octy, would like to know more about the fixed and programmable piggy. Understand form other threads that unichip requires Dyno tuning. Is the same thing required for the fixed? There are also some TD tuning chip used by a handful of VW owners, which is a pre-programmed chip. However, the installer requires knowledge on the pins of the ECU used in the car. I didn't have much luck as I couldn't find much from the my ECU (Bosch Motronic M3.8.5).

Hi Bro, yes Dyno Testing and Tuning is ALWAYS good for any chip before & after. UniChip doesn't require you to do Dyno if you don't want but that's NOT recommended.

The fixed chip can be fitted to any EFI angine and it gives the pin-out for a variety of vehicles including our Cotys.

You're right, TDs has their own piggy-backs but as far as I know, they're quite ex.

Cheers!

Kevin
