COE Bidding – July 2025

Recommended Posts

First bidding exercise for 2H 2025, after a 3-week break.

COE went up last round, what’s your predicktion for this round? Sch holidays over, no major car shows, but got 3 weeks of order collecting. So I’m guessing premiums will remain around the same or drop slightly.

Sealion 6 is plug in hybrid. So it is still an ICE car with very good petrol consumption. I hear 25km/liter!

seems like BYD is the new toyota. every model sells by itself.

personally i find the looks of the SL6 to be dated. looks like an old car.. insai and outsai

If battery charge regularly, it could further improve FC

The naming is based on size

5 > 6 > 7

06 has both plug-in and EV in China.

Same here. How can BYD sealion 6 became a newer version compare to Sealion 7???

SL 6 will cost $10k more than SL 7.  Think not so easy to be volume seller.

BYD naming convention is rather confusing, especially in differentiating China domestic model (ehm let call it CDM) and international / export model. Currently these are the Sealion (海狮) models currently available.

The model can have different look and size for the same name but different variant (DM-i vs EV), and these may not be from the same series (Ocean and Dynasty). So in short, Sealion 5, 6, 7 and 8 may not be related.

Don't know about the actual OMV but EEAI and the difference in VES rebate add up to $25K, so $10K seems reasonable.

Where is cargod @Carbon82? He should know the OMV of Sealion 6 and work out the car cost breakdown. 😀
