    Australia maps for Garmin GPS

This is a good idea. Can you advise how you did it? I tried looking online for information on prepaid sim data card from the internet but could not find much information of where to buy and convert. Any setup information needed?

    26" LCD TV

Just bought one recently from Mustafa, Samsung $480, i think. Not many place selling it. Go for a bigger one if you have the choice. Price difference is really not much. I 32" was too big for me that's why i got a 26".

    Petrol price increase again...shell

I have been pumping 92 for quite a while. Don't see a reason why it's not good for the car when the manufacturer recommended a even lower requirement. After a few years, the car also ok. No problem at all. My last car also lasted till the COE expires also no problem. More important i think is to ensure that the car is maintained, ie regular servicing etc. If there is no knocking from the engine, i think i rather save the few dollars. Keep them in my pocket than to contribute to someone's bonus.

  5. You should send your appeal to HDB if that car park is a HDB car park. If it's URA, then will have to talk to URA. Hope this helps.

    Insurance broker

Hitching on this thread instead of starting a new one since it's on the same topic of car insurance. Recently I just changed my car and transfer the NCD of the insurance of the old car to the new one. Got a new insurance for the new car with another insurance company. I was told the balance of the un-used portion of the insurance for the old car will be returned to me. It has been 2 months and I have not received any letter or anything from the old insurance company. Anyone can advise what should I do? I had only utilized about 4 months of the one-year insurance for the old car.

Have you seen 2 Cameras on the AYE's bridges?

seen such setup a few times before... what i guess is that they could be counting cars or tracking the traffic condition there for ERP for that stretch of the road in the future?

    Giant Carlube 5w40 at $26.90

We go to one of the authorised workshop in Sing Ming and they allow us to bring our own oil. Fast service too. The rest of the authorised workshop at the Shell Proserve and the main agent doesn't allow.

    Workshop to install Window Visors

What I do is to wet the sticky part first, so that it's less sticky. Then aim and let it stick very lightly on the surface when I am done with the adjustment. When very satisfied with it, press hard on it and the water come out and let it dry a little... 3M sticky tape sure can trust, will not come out one. Till you see how simple it is...you won't want to spend such money.

    Surface preperations

For your question about the orangy spot, I had that before too. I used "AURI" to clean it off. It contains petroluem distillates, which I think is sort of a cleaner. Gurus here, please correct me on this if I am wrong. All I did is to just apply a little on it and just wipe off. very easy . I think any polish/wax containing cleaners will do the job fine. Polish and wax. Can someone tell me the difference? Where to get claybar? Autobacs etcs will have.

    Surface preperations

Me confuse again ... I always thought that polish = wax... So the Turtlewax Platinum Ultra Gloss wax I currently have is a wax right? Then what should I use as a polish? Super blur now....

    Surface preperations

Actually wanted to get Klasse, but don't have any decal to get any offer, so decided to go for the Hi-glaze88 option since it seems quite good after reading from this forum. But one thing I am quite confuse now, should the sealant comes before the polish or after? I always have the impress of the sequence as 1. Wash - To remove physical dirt on the surface 2. Claybar - To remove those dirt that are stuck on the surface 3. Polish/ScratchX whatever - Remove those swirl marks/watermarks etc. 4. Sealant - Seal the surface 5. Polish - For some shine. The steps you recommended seems to stop at sealant. Please enlighten me on this.
