DVB-T2 HD Mobile Digital TV Tuner for cars installation

I just installed pioneer GEX-2850DVB2 at SG GARAGE, and is very satisfied with their product knowledge, installation and pricing. This tuner deliver clear picture even when I travel on highway. It is also compatible to my pioneer AVH-Z9150 HU for touch screen control and mirror display to rear passenger LCD screen.

    Moonroof repair

Hi, My 2008 estima moonroof sometimes fail to respond to control button. On some days, the moonroof does not respond to both rear and front button. On some other days, the moonroof will suddenly become responsive to both rear & front buttons again. i suspect it may be loosen control/power wire connection, but am unsure. Is there anyone here with some experience to share or any recommendation on workshop which is good in such trouble shooting moonroof?

Which brand of tyres for my Estima?

Thanks for your helpful advise. As my estima recommended Tyre height is 65R16, I can only find smaller tyre height of 60R16 or 55R16 and not bigger as suggested. Luckily, after asking around for few days, I finally manage to find the recommended uncommon Tyre size(205/65R16) for Michelin Primacy 4 at Soh Brothers workshop and will be changing Tyre tomorow.

Which brand of tyres for my Estima?

Hi Roberttan, thanks for the great advice. I just realized my estima recommended Tyre is only: 205/65R16 215/55R17 Would your recommendation be different? I find it strange why my recommended Tyre size differ from that Estima tye size photo posted by "Extreme".

    Toyota Estima

Hi, noted the older estima does not come with 'performance damper'. Is there anyone in this forum who could advice on whether it is worth adding aftermarket 'Performance Damper' to the older estima? Any sharing of experience is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, my estima comes with only 2 air bags (fewer than some other model). Is there anyway/recommendation that I can add air bags to the side at local reputable workshop?

    Pioneer AVH-Z9150BT

Thanks. You may be right that it may be the 360 camera setting. But lately I realized some erratic behaviors for the 360 camera after I mirrorlink(eg. Delayed switching to camera view after i signal left/right. Stuck at Camera view after I switch on/off hazard light button). Not sure if there is problem with installation or faulty hardware (camera processor/HU) or performance issue(RAM/processor speed)

    Pioneer AVH-Z9150BT

Yes. They told me it can't be help for now, unless maybe if there is some firmware update to patch this soon. They briefly explained it may be due to signal type for monitor input is analouge format whereas mirrorlink signal is digital, so the HU need to convert mirrorlink source to analouge output. Any expert here to advise if this is the case?

    Pioneer AVH-Z9150BT

my head unit is connected to a 360 bird view camera. But to be fair, I can't be sure it is HU problem or camera system issue(as the workshop also meddled with the bird view system settings as well) I thought the best pioneer HU can be configured to support any DVD or stream any video (via mirrorlink) on-demand for 2nd/3rd row passengers to watch on monitor during the long ride to malaysia, but now my kids/wife may be disappointed after spending so much. It will be too time consuming for me to search for movie/dvd and spent hours to convert to the right format to save into usb/SD card(which I have not figure out what is the best format and how to convert)... Now I begin to wonder if I would be much better off by buying cheaper HU and mirrorlink dongle as per YouTube link below and can do more. ( https://youtu.be/O50zNjSZ8cE )

    Pioneer AVH-Z9150BT

Just installed the AVH-Z9150BT to replace my AVH-295BT to screen mirror my phone to watch video content. But my initial experience is disappointing as follow: 1) once I mirrorlink my (Samsung note 8) phone, my rear monitor turn blank! So your rear passenger cannot view any mirrorlink screen on their monitor. So rear passenger can only view video by DVD player/USB but not internet video streaming. 2) when I signal left/right, the camera view replace/interrupt the video as usual, but there is no 'X' icon like my old AVH-295BT on screen! So the front passenger can't help me to toggle back to video if my signal is still on! This is worst than my old player. 3)all of my original code 6 DVD bought in singapore cannot be played but my old player can play them! (the model is new, so workshop can use the usual method to turn on 'all code') Hope pioneer will correct all these in next firmware update.

Car Remote Control Key - Any lobang

I just went to Liansiong wanting to buy a new Silicon brand remote for $30 (use to cost only $25 about 6 years ago). In the end , I change my in-car transponder system (it is partly malfunctioning) as a new one come with 2 new silicon remotes and only cost $90, plus they help me reprogram my existing remote as spare. I think the silicon remote is good value for money, rather the other costly options in this thread. You may consider going to Liansiong (Tel: 6296 4550) to reprogram/buy a new remote, not sure how much they charge for reprogramming though.
