  1. Hi all, Problem solved! One of the plugs was found to have a much wider gap, causing intermittent disruption which leads to the jerking. Well, am just happy that the problem was resolved. Thanks for all your kind inputs and sharing. Insightful!!! cheers!

Good GPS for SG & MY usage

Hi, ESSO gas station has this GPS going at $138. I think the brand is Sensonic N400, or something like that. Anyone using it and is it good? Am thinking of getting one, as I've not come across one which is that competitively priced.
  5. Hee hee... Throttle, that's an ingenious way out! Maybe 5 years later!
  6. Thanks, Gendut. Really hope to get rid of this problem.
  7. Mine is the e90 model and yes, I think that cylinder check would be a good starting point. Thanks for the info. Really praying that it's not the worse case scenario that you have painted. :)
  8. Thanks! Will check it out.
  9. Thanks for the interests and replies. Really appreciate the insights gathered. Let me first provide an update and sum up the situation with your kind inputs. :) Other than the automatic "drive" mode, my ride comes with an automatic "drive-Sports" mode, as well as the steptronic manual mode. I tried the "Sports" mode. I noticed that the rev is higher, and the RPM was never dropped below 2000. The gear change was smooth and there was no jerking. This mode of driving will drive the fuel consumption up though. Back to the problem, as it happens only in the normal "drive" mode, the shuddering happens when the RPM is around 1300-1500. I guess it is a case of low RPM on a higher-than-required gear. Now that it works well on the Sports mode, but not that well on the Drive mode. I would think that there is no problem with the plugs, plug cables, engine and gear box? I would like to hear that the problem is caused by dirty throttle body or maybe the reset of the ECU. Correct me if my deduction is wrong, mates.
  10. Perhaps... u guys know when about should plugs be changed? I'm on the current set of plugs (high power type) for about 30K km now.
  11. Hi Xdeatel, are you still on this problem still? for 7-8 mths? Or you have solved it by changing the plugs?
  12. Nope. Just changed my car not too long ago.
  13. Yes. I don't face the shudder if I gas it more.. but was just wondering if there is really a problem as I don't recall having the need to gas more for my previous rides.
  14. Hi, I've been on the road for 10 years...
  15. Hi, Ride is 320i. Problem happen only during full-automatic mode. If it is wrong plugs, I would think that the problem will be a consistent one, right? i.e. happens all the time. But mine doesn't... it happens but it goes off after it gets over a couple of times within a ride.
