...towards the road divider and the result is a collision. Here's how it goes, at a right bend, this CityCab moved to the left lane and as I was overtaking, it suddenly cut back into my lane as I was already halfway beside his car. I blasted my horn and braked hard to avoid a collision but couldn't prevent it. Initially, he accused me of rear-ending his vehicle, say it was his lane, but of course, as the video shows, I was in the same lane all these while, and it was him who changed lane without checking his blind spot or signalling. He was ferrying an air stewardess on the way to airport and I asked her for her opinion. She said she turned her head and saw that my car was already to the right of the taxi when I sounded my horn. Initially he didn't budge and kept saying it was my fault, but I told him I have a video proof, he immediately suggested that we settle this case privately and not file for claims. I urged him to finish his job of sending the passenger to her destination after we exchanged name and contact numbers. In the end I was late for my Home Team Real Run by 10 minutes. Later that day I went to my insurer to file for third party claim as he could not agree to the workshop's quotation in our phone conversation.

my first rant, juz could not take it I was travelling behind CityCab taxi SHC6x0M in Lane 1 CTE toward City between AMK Ave 1 and Braddell at 7.18am 6 June 2008. Right before the ERP gantry before Braddell exit, the taxi signalled to cut left and braked hard to the extent that it came to a halt in Lane 1 a few metres before the ERP gantry. This is from a speed of 90+kmph, thus forcing myself and the drivers behind to do an e-brake. Thank goodness that we kept a safe distance away but the taxi driver is downright reckless The taxi came to a complete halt in Lane 1 when everyone else was going at 90+ kmph at that time. I assume the taxi driver wasn't prepared that the ERP gantry was in activation and thus wanted to stop to put in his cashcard?? Or signal left cos he wanted to filter to the extreme left to stop and dig out his cashcard? cos after we honk him non-stop, he drove through the gantry, all the way towards City and did not take any exit (I filtered to Lane 2 after PIE to avoid being behind such reckless driver, and lost sight of the cab after that).

Darn CITYCAB taxi Last night, I was coming down Upper Paya Lebar Road and was turning left onto Airport Road. From behind, without headlights on, came this yellow taxi (I only knew it was yellow after it zoomed past me). I took the left turn at around 50kmh and was accelerating off when the taxi came on my left and cut right across my path. Having very little reaction time, it was either I hit him or do something about it. I knew hitting the brakes was a futile thing as he was going across me and braking would just cause me to smash into him. So I swerved right to avoid and mounted the kerb. The whole thing detroyed my front bodykit and damaged both of my right rims and tires. My right front suspension was leaking after that as well. My front undercarriage neon light was also smashed too There could even be axle damage The worst part is that the taxi didn't even stopped to help and just drove off I didn't get a chance to note his licence plate before he ran off. Estimated damage Front bodykit : $250 Two rims + tires : $400 Suspension : $200??? Axles : ??? Wondering if I can go after the taxi company for this
