was wondering did some read up on engine oil it seems that many lubricants for eg marine engines and industrial use, cars are principally 80% base oil 20% additive looking at the prices we are paying am wondering if its possible to blend your own engine oil. we could even do a group thing and save a couple of thousands rather than pay $90 - $120 for expensive engine oil ? thinking its possible because i saw a local company do it ( texas and roar engine oil) so if a peanuts small firm can do why cant we ? blending in simple terms is just adding additives to base oil anyone can do that.
