Was at CityHall MRT to get the new CEPAS EZlink card to use as fare card as well as for the new IU on my new bike. Asked the lady at the ticket counter and ended up chicken and duck talk, I refuse to switch to mandarin, instead went over to the other with a Malay lady who promptly answered my queries. That place full of Ang Mohs . . not sure what SMRT is thinking !!!! The lady speaks english but the accent and and command of english, I really struggled !!!

I just got a lawyer letter from my designer whom I recruited from China, a lady in her late 20s. Her hubby is a Hongkie. She came to Singapore on a salary of $2500 a month under the employment pass to help my company to do design. However, she scrExed up many of my projects, causing my company to bleed and lose money. I had enough so I terminated her service because we are practically paying her S$2500 a month to help us to lose money. Her design standard is worse than a fresh poly grad. By the way, she was recommended by one of my good friend who happened to work in China and know this scheming designer from that. One month I was supposed to pay her $2500. However, her contract was terminated due to incompetence.. and she faild to turn up for negotation without any reason.. just MIA.. For 2 weeks work, you guys know how much she is asking for? Almost S$14000!! Kena conned by China gal...

Nowadays, I always see news articles about employers physically abusing their maids. When I am out in the streets, I also see alot of psychological abuse not reported in the news. There was this woman who accompanied her maid to the post office do fund transfer. She scolded her maid for poor handwriting and made her fill in form after form. Another employer I saw took her maid to the bank to do TT. Neither of them could fill up the TT form but the employer kept scolding her maid for being stupid and troublesome. Both times I feel like scolding the employers, but SAF teach me not to be hero so I come here and keyboard warrior. Are maids really that problematic to handle? Or maybe Singaporeans are venting their frustrations on people less fortunate than themselves?
