Satria_neo Clutched November 23, 2011 Author Share November 23, 2011 given the choice, should go for front or back under brace? Definitely the front. Your engine causes lots of chassis flex (due to shifting of weight as you turn). ↡ Advertisement
Gasguzzler 1st Gear November 23, 2011 Share November 23, 2011 I had struts and underbraces in my previous car (mazda 3) too. In my opinion and experience, it's better to install the full set of braces if you intend to. This is because just strengthening one end of your car may put stress on the other parts of your chassis, all else being equal. Most decent cars chassis and suspension has been carefully calibrated and stress tested from the factory, so just beware of the balance when you tune. Cheers! If you just strengthen one end of your car, sooner or later you are definitely going to find that the other end is lacking.

XenonWhite 1st Gear November 24, 2011 Share November 24, 2011 I've ever seen a Honda Stream with UR Strut Bar when hoist up, the front undercarriage bar was deform as the car apparently had hit something on the road.. As i sometimes park half the car off the road and sometimes travel in Malaysia "B" type of road.. i stayed away from all this bars.. But i have a front tower strut bar installed.. Good handling round corners though..
KoseiWish 1st Gear November 24, 2011 Share November 24, 2011 Does it use two or one bolt connection for under the hood strut brace? It looks like one bolt which would be quite the strain on that single bolt on each side. UR front strut bar uses single bolt connection at each end...agree that can caused great strain...so use Alutec.. I used 1)Alutec front upper strut bar 2)UR front 3 point lower brace 3)UR rear 2 point brace 4)UR rear ARB 5)Summit rear bumper bar So far so good for the pass 4yrs and no deform ... Escksu Clutched November 25, 2011 Share November 25, 2011 ultra racing strut use thin and weak material. don't waste your money on it. Steel is much stronger than aluminum, but heavier. Racing cars usually use chrome moly steel bars at the expense of weight due to its strength.
