The North American version of the new Toyota Camry was launched recently. Now, here are some official images of another version of the new Camry, released by Toyota Ukraine. Looking more refined than the North American version, the model has a larger grille, a different front fascia and circular fog lights, making it look like a baby Lexus LS460. This should please buyers who are looking for a car that looks more expensive than what they paid for. At the rear, changes are minor and include a restyled bumper and taillights. The side profile of both versions are similar.

 

Inside, the dark grey cabin has a new dashboard, metallic accents and plenty of wood trim. The controls are logically placed. The overall feel is rather conservative and I guess Toyota does not want to rock the boat too much. There are 2 engine options available for the Ukrainian market - a 2.5 liter inline 4 making 180 PS and a 3.5 liter V6 making 277 PS, both with 6-speed automatic transmission. Thank god that the new model

Same as JDM launched on 3rd September, only the JDM is using a different front fascia and fog lights. The new JDM is only come with 2.5L (2AR-FXE newly developed engine) Hybrid engine and only available in black interior.

Both the interior and the exterior looks more elegant compared to the previous camry model.

Exterior not much changes as compared to the current model. This model look likely to be the model to be launched in Singapore. A little disappointed as I felt that the JDM/US looks better.

  • Is 'tiny living' really irrelevant in Singapore?

    I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post.
