Inside, the dark grey cabin has a new dashboard, metallic accents and plenty of wood trim. The controls are logically placed. The overall feel is rather conservative and I guess Toyota does not want to rock the boat too much. There are 2 engine options available for the Ukrainian market - a 2.5 liter inline 4 making 180 PS and a 3.5 liter V6 making 277 PS, both with 6-speed automatic transmission. Thank god that the new model’s transmission is finally catching up with the Koreans.
Overall, Toyota has adhered to the safe and trusted formula of the previous Camry. Perhaps it is time for a change for the Japanese automaker, looking at how the Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonata have advanced. In this world, the only constant is change and it looks like Toyota has yet to internalise this well-known saying.
