Take a minute and examine the above photograph. I believe most readers would make the comment that the bonnet of the green Toyota Camry was sticking out of the parking lot too much.

I was driving up a multi-storey carpark ramp when this particular Camry caught my attention. I was a bit puzzled on why it was parked in such a manner. As I recalled, a BMW 5 series can fit nicely within the confinement of the parking lot. I take a look at the rear of the parking lot and found that it was clear. The car will be able to reverse for a good say 50cm.

Due to the parking position of the Camry, the driver of the Mazda 2 on the right would have to accommodate and make a wider turn. Luckily, being a small hatchback, the Mazda would probably be able to move out of the parking lot without having to reverse and make a second attempt. In addition, the parking lot of the Camry was quite close to the downward ramp. A car coming down from the higher floors would need to be extra careful.

Sad to see more and more inconsiderate drivers on the road. Even with the privilege of having the reverse sensor , I would normally get out of my car to ensure that I do not caused any inconvenience to the cars park next to me..

  • A 20-year journey, an old passion rekindled

For us 90s babies, the Holy Trinity of Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network formed a big part of our childhood. The internet was just about coming into fruition, with the rise of a plethora of websites with numerous entertaining flash games and of course, the early days of YouTube. And though those things have come and gone, one thing in my life remained constant: My love for Pokemon. I first got into Pokemon 20 years ago, and I remember exactly how it went down. Let me set the

Journey to the West: First Steps in Southwestern China, Pt. 1

It used to be that when a person was visiting China for the first time, the natural choice was Beijing. No better way to learn about a country than a visit to its capital, amirite? Having had their fill of Peking duck and climbed the Great Wall of China, the next places they would likely look at are those on the east coast - Shanghai, Nanjing, perhaps Harbin. In recent times though, the southwestern parts of China have gotten much coverage on social media. Chongqing, the country’s largest c

    The art of doing nothing?

Here’s a quick fun fact for those who’ve sworn themselves entirely off TikTok, out of the fear of having to run yet another social media account: You don’t actually need to log in to the app to scroll it. Quite incredibly (but also quite scarily), the platform’s algorithm is still able to curate an incredible array of videos that it thinks will make you want to keep scrolling. And for this existential-crisis-ridden 28-year old, it’s decided to feed videos more along the 'self-help’ route re

Cordless vacuum cleaners: A young adult's best friend?

Every young adult probably arrives at the same point when they’ve started working for a few years: Household chores start to become more enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong – they don’t have to be one’s favourite activity on earth. But chores start to make sense: An environment that’s put-together is always a welcome haven, whether it’s returning home after a long day out, or simply staying in over the weekend (or when you’re working from home.) As a young adult myself, I've come to appreciate an
