blogentry-133713-0-34490200-1489999409_thumb.jpgAccording to an online source, the Lexus GS luxury sedan may be dropped after its current generation production ends.

In the January issue of Japanese magazine MAG-X, Lexus Enthusiast, an online lexus forum, has discovered a report in it claiming that the GS will be dropped in 2018. The successor was supposed to be launched in the same year too.

In the article, Toyota is believed to have suspended the development of the next-generation GS after realising that it is no longer needed in the firm’s range. It cite that the new LS luxury sedan would overlap with the V6-powered GS with its newly-adopted V6 engine. The last LS was powered by an eight cylinder engine.

I am reluctant to trade in from the new V6 LS because I doubt V6 can be smooth as V8. Also turbo charge is not exactly conforting.

It would be good if they can squeeze more power from normally aspirated engine then the need to strap turbo or supwrcharger. After all this is not a sports car.

Read this Rumour article before, but LS replace GS due to engine size same?

1st they are price very differently and GS and ES more competiting with E class, 5 series and A6 category just one more into sporty GS the other more comfort/ cheaper version Lux ES.

LS towards s class and 7 series...

In SG LS cost abt $500k or slightly lesser and GS $280k and below depending on model...

So quite a bit different financial/ Budget or people willing to spend customers

  • Far Cry: A journey over two decades (PART ONE)

I first came across the first-ever Far Cry game in the now-popular series back in 2004, the year of its launch. I was eight and wandering around the “Toys & Games” section in a department store (I believe it was Takashimaya) and the cover caught my eye. I’ve always been drawn towards First-person Shooter (FPS) games, and I thought I’d give it a try. Thus, I got my parents to buy it for me, and the second we got home, I loaded it up. Back in the day, CDs were still very much the norm, an

This should be the true Singaporean national dish

Singapore is known to be a melting pot of different cultures, races, people and of course, cuisines from all over the world. You can probably find food from most places here in Singapore, but we also have some dishes that we like to think of as our national dish - okay, google says there isn't an officially declared national dish, but Chicken Rice is one of those that's often mentioned. Yes, we all love Chicken Rice, but it isn't really unique to Singapore.... Nasi Lem

Your next action film recommendation: Battle Los Angeles

I’ve always held a keen interest in the armies of the world, the wars that raged, and the weapons used. Therefore, I usually appreciate a movie (preferably an action film) if there’s an army element and lots and lots of bullets involved. Well, Battle Los Angeles (2011) doesn’t disappoint. With explosive battles and intense drama, you find yourself rooting for a group of resilient Marines tasked with defending Los Angeles from an alien invasion force. And yes, it’s on Netflix (for now), and

    Singapore’s ultimate NDP song?

As my JC classmates suddenly made plans this year to have an NDP watch-party (this is likely our first in the 12 years we’ve known each other), I found myself falling into a state of nostalgia again: This time, thinking about how NDP songs have evolved over the years. It’s not a stretch to say that each NDP song - from the inception of the idea of an NDP song back in 1984 - has woven itself somewhat into the fabric of our collective memories. Whether you were singing along loudly in primary
