In this video, The Suzuki Swift driver is driving on a downhill course along South Buona Vista Road, also known among the driving community as as 99 Bends or "Gao Zhup Gao Wan" in Hokkien.

Watch the video here:

The driver loses control after a long left curve, which has a decreasing radius that requires drivers to slow down.

As seen above: Speed regulating strips to tell the driver to slow down.

The Suzuki Swift seems to be catching up to the car infront, but it lost control at the end of this curve, then skidded and crashed into the barrier just opposite the bus stop.

Driver was heard saying,

"stupid car in front fault lah. He drive so slow, I had to slow down and not enough heat in my tyres to get the grip and that's why I crashed. If only no car and I went faster I would have been OK."

Need additional attention in the strip of road, especial in the night. This strip is more for skill and not speeding!

the camera car also following very closely too in order to show us the footage! so either all speeding down the slope or all driving within 99 bend speed limited then the Swift driver just lousy?

so which one huh? cameraman you speeding down the slope too?!!?!? LOL :D

Then back to Tyres question, Suzuki Swift is such a small nimble car, to crash like this likely using non mainstream performance Tyres!

Noob. Earlier downshift with rev match + left-foot braking with balanced throttle through the decreasing radius corner might have saved his ass. Oh well.

No need all lah. Just put a piece of toufu on the dashboard, and it can immediately increase driver skills level to MAX. 😁

Female cyclist hits uncle and leaves him lying in a pool of his own blood

A heartbreaking post was posted on Facebook about an incident that had happened yesterday (June 16) along Yuan Ching Road.  According to the post, a female cyclist had hit a 68-year-old uncle as he was walking to his hawker stall and left him lying in a pool of his own blood. Passers-by noted that the cyclist was using her handphone prior to the incident and did not have proper lights on her bicycle. The man's daughter wrote a statement regarding the incident, stating that her father had hit his head and fainted upon the impact. He was then promptly sent to the hospital, where his injuries had shown that the impact was huge due to the fast speed of the bicycle.  Continuing her statement, she urged all cyclists to ride at a safe speed along pedestrian walkways and to install lights to alert senior citizens and other pedestrians of their presence.  She ended her statement with a plea for more cycling paths around the area as there are many senior citizens living in the estate. Netizens' reactions Many netizens expressed their well wishes for the uncle in the comments, with some reprimanding the cyclist for not helping an injured senior citizen.  We wish the uncle a speedy recovery too and hope that the cyclist would be brought to justice soon.

BMW Driver steals carpark lot successfully, but parallel parks like a clown

TL;DR – BMW driver steals a parallel carpark lot from another BMW by edging headfirst into the small vacant lot. The result? Video footage of some crap parking.   Here’s a 47-second video of a Beemer stealing a carpark lot….from another Beemer! What’s happening? Here’s a rough breakdown of what’s happening. The 3 Series (car at the back) tailgates the 1 Series (car in front trying to park). Both their hazard lights are on. As the 1 Series tries to parallel park by reversing in, the 3 Series drives headfirst into the lot. Yes. Headfirst into a small parallel lot. The 1 series driver then comes out of the car to confront the 3 series driver (the conversation is inaudible, so we cannot tell what they’re saying to one another). What could have caused this? While we don’t know what happened before the recording starts, some people mention that the 1 Series could have been the culprit and not jump to conclusions. It’s a BMW. Not a VW. Head-in parallel parking I don’t know about you all, but it’s just cringy to watch. Yes, I understand the 3 Series is trying to get the lot before the 1 Series reverses in, but it doesn’t change the fact that it irks me, especially when you see the 3 Series stuck at an odd angle in the parallel lot. Online chatter Wah. This person raging siol. Are you the 1 Series driver? ‘B’rilliant. Honestly, most cars these days come with a dashcam installed. Try not to get caught doing stupid things on video so we don’t have to write about you.

BlueSG car uses instant torque to squeeze itself ahead on merging lanes

A BlueSG car recklessly speeds up in a merging lane and forces the camcar driver (with his pregnant wife in the car) to swerve and prevent a collision. Like all electric vehicles, the Bollore Bluecar comes with instant torque which allows the vehicle to accelerate quicker than internal combustion engine (ICE) cars. You can clearly see the disparity in acceleration in the video. Let's look at some R&R (not rest and relaxation) But, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how fast you can accelerate. There are rules and regulations that need to be adhered to. According to the Highway Code: In the case of this video, the camcar driver has the right of way as he was in front of the BlueSG car, which was on the yielding lane. Furthermore, there was no need for the BlueSG car to overtake the camcar as the road was not congested and there was no junction ahead.  However, there is the possibility that the BlueSG driver was rushing to save a few dollars due to the company’s rental plans. According to BlueSG, users are charged $0.36 per minute during their rental on top of a monthly fee, which explains why BlueSG drivers are typically seen rushing around all the time. Netizens' reactions Careless driving in Singapore racks up a fine of $200 and 6 demerit points. Just FYI.

Tiny pothole wrecks a BMW 2 Series convertible

TL:DR – A BMW 2 Series convertible goes over a small, unassuming pothole/manhole that causes its rear end to flip up, lose some parts from its undercarriage and swerve into another lane.   It's incredible how a small pothole/manhole can cause thousands of dollar's worth of damage to a car. Here's an example recorded on a video forwarded many times on WhatsApp groups. From the footage, we know that this incident happened on 11th April 2021, Sunday around 5pm. As to where this is, I have a feeling it might be somewhere around Woodlands. But, if you have any idea, do let me know, and I'll update the article accordingly to warn fellow road users where to avoid. Update: Thank you everyone who identified the location. It's in Yishun.   Poor BMW If you hit the pause button upon the point of impact, you'll notice that bits and pieces fall out from the undercarriage of the 2 Series. That’s as unlucky as this guy I reckon those parts are not going to be cheap to replace or repair. The pothole/manhole This image circulated together with the video. I'm assuming the cam car driver got out of the car and snapped a photo of the pothole/manhole.
