think so far no one changed the control arm...175 per pcs...i still think ex leh...if around 75-100...still ok lar

personally, if in my shoes, i'll change too...but will look around for around pisces price range...reasonable...esp with labour included

the battery light came before the change.

Changed a new one, with labour, paid $220.

 

I realised that my fluctuating rpm was solved with the change.

 

wah so exp. didnt know alternator is that exp. luckily i got a 3 spare alternator for my car just to ask is alternator the same for all cars or different? if i change my ride i can still use the spares?

Btw, anyone changed the control arms before? Is mine expensive?

i changed before but i changed the one is free one. labour charge is $100 for changing arms, whole piece of steering and front shocks.

it depends...but my guess is shd be cannot reuse on other car models for alternator

Alternator no need to buy new. Just get a re-con one as they change the bearings & carbon brushes as these are the only things to wear out. The circuit board lasts quite long but if it goes, they will put in a 2nd hand one.

 

Most jap car alternators (2nd hand) cost about $100 incl labour.

 

I'm not too sure about the latest cars as they cud b different.

a bit of cai tao as from the link, the lower support arm is a small pcs of metal arm.

Yah. Mine was a short (abt 6") piece of metal.

 

2nd hand alternator, u can try Markool. They changed mine the last time.

I changed the alternator & a/c compressor (both 2nd hand) for about $200 plus I think.

 

Was quite some time back so i can't remember exactly.

think one of our swift bro did the compressor @ MC for abt $130....so pisces69 alternator shd be abt 70 bucks

Not exactly. I think it was $200 PLUS . The Plus I can't quite remember. Cud b $290 also.

 

Remember my car use Nippon Denso compressor, so it cost's more than Sanden. The alternator was about $100.

 

This was some years back, so i'm not too sure. Must check my receipts to be sure. The grey matter starting to fail me sometimes.

wat are the syntoms or wat are the sings dat shows dat the alternator is either dead

or dying...

 

cause now when my a/c cuts in can hear its dragging down my engine n can hear loud

orh orh sound..

If the sound is when the AC comes on, It most prob is your AC compressor which needs to be checked.

 

U can go to Markool in woodlands as they r very good & most important, HONEST.
