There is no certification of tyreman in spore, any tom dick and harry can claim to be an expert. I have even come across guys who try to BS with a computerise 4 wheel alignment without even having the basis understanding of wheel alignment geometry. So which tyreshop can perform the job with tech competency depends very much on the each individual's acceptance. For a tyre shop using soap water on the tyre beads when fitting the tubless tyre to rim to me is perfectly not right but to another gentleman that practice to him is OK because he thought that is a accept norm.

Tyre manufacturers will normally try not to recommed repair or retreading because they are in the business of selling new tyres!!

Cold patches are not rubber pieces that you use "super glue" and patch them on the tyres. They are make of very high quality industrial rubber and are chemically glued ( cemented, once glue the ptach and the tyre will be seamless and no way you can peer it off.

Most of this tyre patches are orignally manufacturered in US, if they unsafe to use, they will be sue until thier pants drop and disapear form the market long time ago.

I am not sure about certification here in singapore,I knew throught friend in Europe

they are such requirenment if I am not wrong.

It is also any tom dick and harry can bring in such repair kit he wants and to promote the

product without and assurance of safety to the usage under all kind of driving condition.

every product marketing will consist of commercial reason.

After all as I said earlier we ourselve have to know what we are doing and this is all for our own good.

IN another words you can repair the tyre temporarily(your personal commercial reason:save money/want to change all 4 tyres together soon/going to scrape the car soon) you want but just always remember that was a repaired and don't push the tyre to hard may be OK.
